Stamp Nation birthday party!

I can’t believe it’s 2021. I’m always excited for fresh starts and a new year is a great one!

This fun slimline card was inspired by a challenge over at Stamp Nation for their 10th birthday party! Here’s the inspiration photo

I love all the bright colors! The ones that stood out to me the most were the teals, peaches, and pinks.

I used the Doodle Windows slimline die by Catherine Pooler

And the stamps are from the CP I Scream You Scream set

It’s a party on the card but still has a clean feel to it, which I like

The finishing touch is almost always sequins! I used several different sets of Catherine Pooler sequins to just the right colors

Thank you for visiting! I have another fun card that will be up tomorrow and a video early next week.

Yay for lots of stamp time!

From our home to yours

Happy New Year!! I’m looking forward to a fresh start. A fun way to begin is with a new Double Trouble challenge! We are starting a little early this round so that we can have max play time with our partner ColorMyHeart Inspirational board color challenge

We are getting cozy with this one! Thing 1 wants to see us use our Cuttlebug and cuddle up!!

I used mine to create this dry embossed background for behind this cozy warm fireplace

Thing 3 wants to see you use a warm and cuddly critter. I didn’t have one to go with this scene so I left it a clean and simple fireplace and mantle scene

For the ColorMyHeart side of the challenge that Thing 2 wants us to partner with, I just loved all the warm and cozy colors of the inspiration picture

The hues of oranges, browns, and rusty colors is what really stood out to me with this scene. And the fireplace of course!

This warm and cozy card is ready to give a family a card that is from our home with love

Thank you for visiting! Please visit Double Trouble as well as ColorMyHeart to find all the details and play along. We’d love to see what you come up with.

Again, Happy New Year!

Snow time!

Hi everyone! I have a fun shaker card today using the fun color inspiration from the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge!

I loved playing around and seeing what I could come up with. I also wanted to incorporate the challenge at Simon Says Stamp “Let it Snow” – using Lawn Fawn products.

Here’s what I came up with!

I used the “Ready Set Snow” stamp set by Lawn Fawn and I just love those cute little snowmen!

I filled the bottom of this cute little snowy scene with snowflake sequins

And I put this cute little setup on an ink blended and splattered piece of card stock that I die cut using the Simon stitched rectangles. I added a matching envelope and this card is ready to get in the mail!

If you head to my Instagram, I have a quick video there of this card coming together! Thank you for stopping to see it today!

Merry Christmas shaker

Hello! Happy Monday! We already get a fun new challenge from Double Trouble

I was in the mood to make a shaker and I love my new birch trees die by Catherine Pooler. And Thing 1 is wanting to see a die cute! So I cut it and glittered it up and made it the front of the shaker

I used a LOT of sequins. Honestly, it was almost my whole little jar of Christmas Cove sequins! Thing 3 says “tie it up” so I tied some sheer ribbon from behind the panel up by the sentiment.

And that sentiment is cut using my Cricut! Thing 2 has challenged us to play along with Bitten By the Bug 2 – and they are asking us to use a cut that is from a machine. I used the Jasmine Cricut cartridge and then shaded the letters with some distress ink.

And that’s my card for today! I’m looking forward to making several different cards this week and hope you will swing by and visit.

Hugs!

Deck the Halls

Hi friends! It’s always a happy Monday when there’s a new Double Trouble challenge!

Thing 1 says anything goes! So we sure hope to see lots of you playing along and sharing the cards you are making.

Thing 3 wants to see snow!

I created a mixed media feel for this card, using the “Deck the Halls” stamp set by Gina K

Lots of bling and glitz to fancy up this monochromatic design! I chose to only use the colors red and white as that is the current monthly mix challenge at Gina K designs

Thing 2 always likes to see us partner with another challenge.

Heart2Heart has a theme of “Eat Drink and be Merry” to get the spirit of Winter holidays going. (Can you believe we are a day away from December?!) So they were a fun one to join up with for my inspiration

And with all that fanciness, my card was finished!

Thank you for stopping by to visit! I hope you will head to Double Trouble and share the card you are working on right now. We’d love to see it!

Altenew hello

Anyone who follows me knows that I LOVE card challenges!! Today is one of the top reasons – I would never have thought to use these colors together! The blog over at Altenew has this color combo as their challenge

At first, I wasn’t sure I’d figure something out to pull this off. But I wanted to stretch myself past my normal borders and started playing.

I love jumping in on The Flower Challenge because using flowers in my stamping is always my favorite! Their current challenge is to use a sentiment.

I realized I really quite love this color combo! I used the “Flower Arrangement” stamps and dies by Altenew. The “hello” die is also by them and perfect for The Flower Challenge #50

I used a glimmer palette by Fine Tec to do the splatters and those drops are the clear Nuvo drops

The background panel and wonky stitched oval is by My Favorite Things. And both went perfect for the inspiration I gleaned from the sketch challenge over at TGIF

I loved how the the outline images on the flower and leaves came out with the silver embossing

Overall, I’m really happy with these colors and how my card turned out! If you want to see a short one minute video of it coming together, be sure to head over to my Instagram!

Thanks for stopping by to see it today!

Hugs 🙂

Thankful Tic Tac Toe

Happy Monday everyone! Time for a new Double Trouble challenge and it’s one of my favorites – Tic Tac Toe!

I went with the top row across

Pumpkin, leaves, dies. I was also in the mood to make this a slimline card

I used the giant hot drink cup die by Catherine Pooler and made it part of this card front. Lots and lots of die cut leaves on this card!

I made the cup wrap fancy with leaf dies by Your Next Stamp and those cute little Autumn leaves all around the “thanks” are from the October Club Sursee by Catherine Pooler. You might be wondering where my pumpkin is! It’s on the inside of my card.

I’ll be adding a box of pumpkin spice hot cocoa mix with this card to thank a sweet friend of mine. So the big cup on the front and the pumpkin and cocoa sentiment are perfect

With the Tic Tac Toe taken care of for Thing 1, I needed to fulfill Thing 3’s request – a bold sentiment. This big “thanks” die is from Pink and Main. You might have noticed that cute little shaker element for the front of the cocoa cup

With the matching slimline kraft envelope, this card is ready to be given!

Thing 2 wants you to remember our partner for this challenge – The Paper Fun challenge! It’s “Anything Goes” with the optional twist of “Thankful”. Be sure to head to the Double Trouble blog for all the details to play along. We can’t wait to see what you create!

Have a wonderful day and may your week ahead be fabulous 🙂

Miss you much

Hello! I hope you have all had a happy week 🙂

I’ve got a winter card today, using October Club Sursee products by Catherine Pooler. I got my layout inspiration from the challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches

I took that left column idea and moved it in just a little bit

Isn’t that ice skate just so cute?! I love all the winter foliage that comes in this stamp set

I found these jewel tones on a google image for color inspiration and the gold column is embossed with gold glitter, then some gold sequins for lots of glitz!

I’m loving all the cards I’m seeing with alternate Christmas colors and I played with that a little here. It’s a fun and different look!

Thank you for stopping by to see my card! I’m looking forward to posting some fun cards next week 🙂

If you head to my Instagram, I’m currently doing a giveaway where I enter your name in a drawing for a Catherine Pooler gift card if you’ll send a card to an amazing girl who could really use them! All info is over there.

Hugs!

Merry Christmas!

Thank goodness it’s not actually time to say that!! But I’m here today with a Christmas card and it uses my very favorite Merry Christmas stamp of all time.

My inspiration boost came from the challenge over at Time Out Challenges

I loved that wood board and decided to replace that beautiful mandala with a poinsettia for my idea. Here it is

That beautiful poinsettia is from the Gina K set Year of Flowers 2 and is adhered to that cute board made from the Gina K set called Perfect Pallets.

I absolutely LOVE that Merry Christmas sentiment!! It’s so curly and cute and pretty. It’s also by Gina. I embossed it for dimension

I colored this card using ink from ink pads and refills

I made several of this card and it’s going out to some sweet crafty friends for a swap. You can also head to my Instagram to see a 3 minute video of it coming together! I just love the pink poinsettia. It’s been fun to play with non traditional Christmas colors the past couple of years and pink is my favorite color to do that with

Thanks for stopping by today!

See you again in a couple of days

2 sketches, 1 challenge

Hello everyone! Happy Monday and happy November!

Today starts a new challenge over at Double Trouble Challenge Blog and it’s a fun one. We are teaming up with Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenges for their sketch this week as well as next and both sketches are fabulous

Here is their first sketch – #393

Thing 1 wants everyone to “stitch it up”! So I used lots of stitched die cuts

Thing 3 wants us to use a funny image or sentiment. I realized I really don’t have any funny sentiments or images. But I liked this silly pun with the cactus

The sketch for next week by Atlantic is another great one

I went with a Winter theme on this one and I love the clean and simple look

I used stamps and dies from the latest Catherine Pooler Club Sursee

I love this sketch and will be using it for a lot of different cards coming up. This is also a favorite color combo I found last Christmas during a Stamp Nation challenge. So pretty!

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you will swing by Double Trouble and Atlantic Hearts to play along in your cardmaking.

See you again soon!
