Mixed Media seashells

Happy Monday!  There’s a new challenge at Double Trouble with lots of fun things to try while making your card. The first is the recipe by Thing 1. This is the only requirement to play.  The rest are just fun things to try incorporating too!

Here’s the 3-2-1 recipe

3 pattern papers (mine are from Stamperia)

2 colors of choice (I used a very muted blue and soft green and lots of neutrals)

1 image (I chose these darling die cut seashells by Hero Arts)

Thing 3 gives the optional twist of adding stitches to our projects.  You cannot see the stitching on my card!  But I did use stitched dies for the main panel and for the circle.  In this close up photo, you can see the stitch detail on those 2 pieces

I got my inspiration to make it beachy and to use these color tones from this challenge image at Sunday Stamps

I love it so much! The papers and shells all coordinate for the theme!

Last but not least, Thing 2 would love us to participate in the TSOT sketch challenge. I based my entire layout around it.  With lots of elements and details!

This is a sneak peek – their challenge doesn’t start until tomorrow. But I think it’s a great one for mixed media with all the different sections

We hope to see your card in the gallery at Double Trouble!  Thanks for stopping by today to see mine💕

Kellianne 😊

Thank you for all you do!

I have a fun summery card to share today for the new challenge at Double Trouble! This one is Something Anything Everything – so get sharing with us what you’ve been creating!

Thing 1 wants you to make your own 3-2-1 recipe. Here’s mine

1 fruit

2 colors

3 pattern papers

I used Spellbinders stamps and dies for this one.  I got those strawberry dies in the advent calendar a few years back.  Haven’t given them nearly enough love!

Thing 3 wants to see dimension.  Everything on my card is either doubled up, tripled up, or has mounting squares under it.  Lots of dimension on this one.

Thing 2 encourages us to play along with TSOT. Here’s a sneak peak of their sketch.  This doesn’t start until Tuesday!

I definitely took the challenge to use it and it was fun!  The 3 blocks are perfect for the 3 pattern paper piece of my recipe

These fun and happy colors give off a summery vibe

Thanks for stopping by to check out my card today.  See you again soon!

Monochrome Mandala

I haven’t played with my Gina K Mandala Maker for a really long time!  When I saw the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, it came to mind. The challenge is Monochrome with Gina K products

I chose dark teal and light teal and went to work bringing this beautiful Mandala together.  Something I love adding when I make one of these is Nuvo drops or Stickles. It adds really cool texture and gives it a pop!

These light teal stickles were perfect!

I actually got really brave and didn’t use the wreath maker. I carefully went round and round building this with each piece just on a clear block!  So it isn’t perfect, but it’s still beautiful and it was so much fun!

Thanks for stopping to check it out!

Cozy Wishes

Double Trouble has a new challenge today!

“Gimme S’more” is the theme of this challenge.  Thing 1 gives us a recipe age Thing 3 says gimme “s’more” of the ingredients

3 layers- (This one is the one I did a bit more of!  3 base layers and then I kept layering images and the sentiment)

2 colors- Soft green, soft blue, red

1 sentiment- Cozy Wishes!

I used stamps and dies by Simon Says Stamp.  I just absolutely LOVE these images!  The set is called “Cozy Wishes”. I love birdhouses and wreaths and lanterns so it’s a little scene that includes all 3.  I made that wreath using the leaf branch image in the set

I did not make enough Christmas in July cards!  But I saw that Just Add Ink challenge is still running theirs so I’m playing along!

Life has sure had me going lately.  So I’ll be happy I fit in one last Christmas in July card and move on to other stuff until later in the year when it’s time to think of those cards again!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Retro Christmas in July

I’ve got a retro funky style for today’s card and it’s for the new challenge at Double Trouble

Thing 1 is still wanting to see more Christmas in July and the recipe is

3 colors of choice (see Thing 3 And Thing 2 for ideas on what colors to use! )

2 layers (card base doesn’t count)

1 holiday image (I did the funky ornament die)

The graphic for Jingle Belles challenge gives us some color ideas.  If you use 3 of these, you can play along with them too. I used all but 1 of the colors.  The burgundy never made it to the Mix

The layout is inspired by the TSOT #700 challenge. I stenciled the sun burst background and made it subtle

The beautiful sky participated in the sketch challenge! I thought of it the moment I saw this in the sky lol

t’s a lot to fulfill everything!  But remember- to play along with us at Double Trouble, you only have to fulfill the requirement by Thing 1. The rest is for fun and to stretch your creativity!

These dies are from Casual Friday Stamps and are several years old! I’ve never pulled them out to use so it was fun to finally do so.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Winter in July

Double Trouble is having us think of Christmas in July for this month’s challenges!

Thing 1 starts us off with her 3-2-1 recipe

3 colors (neutrals don’t count) I used several different Catherine Pooler inks.  Rose Petals, Wintergreen, Tranquil, Seafoam, and Serene

2 layers

1 Holiday image – ice skate + winter foliage

Thing 3 wants to see stars and stripes to play along with the challenge at Jingle Belles! I used a circle die with stripes from Catherine Pooler plus some star enamel embellishments

Thing 2 invites us to play along with TSOT. This is just a sneak peek since their challenge doesn’t start until tomorrow. I felt like that sketch was screaming for a design where the point was tied with a bow

We hope you will play along with us at Double Trouble!  It’s a great time to get started on Christmas cards. Thanks for stopping by💕

Stenciled floral

This is my 4th and final week as a guest designer with Just Us Girls. It’s been so fun!  Their challenges are awesome and I look forward to continuing to join along💕Thank you to their amazing Design Team for having me!

This challenge is Anything Goes using stencils

I used PinkFresh products for my card today.  I haven’t really used this set so I’m happy that this challenge had me looking through my stencils!

The set is called Heartfelt Thanks. It has 5 stencils that layer just beautifully!  It was actually so satisfying each time I got a layer done

I ended the stencil layers by stamping the flower outline in black. Gives it such a pop!

Thank you for stopping by to see my card!  I hope you’ll join along over at Just Us Girls 🙂

Slimline summer xoxo

A new challenge starts today with Double Trouble and we want to see your slimline cards!

To fulfill the recipe by Thing 1, you just need to be sure your slimline card has at least 3 layers and 2 images. I did several slimline layers and my 2 images are the lemonade scene and the little flowers

Thing 2 has a sketch to share from TSOT. Starting tomorrow you can play along!  Here’s a sneak peek

I used that sketch inspo for my layout design

I couldn’t decide how to theme my card so I looked at some other challenges for more inspiration.  I fell in love with the mood board at Four Seasons! Look at this summery beauty!

I knew I wanted that lemonade for my main image.  And those beautiful colors all over that mood board had to be all over my card!! I blended the panel like the sky and the layered piece like the ocean.

Thing 3 wants to see glitter so I made all of the little flowers nice and sparkly

This cute image of lemonade, lemons, and flowers came from my stash of Catherine Pooler. Haven’t used in several years! I love how the Shopping Our Stash challenge encourages us to do just that- dig into our stash! The slimline dies are also CP

Thank you for stopping by to see my summer card today!  xoxo!

Cheering you on!

I went bold and bright with today’s card!  Which is not something I do very often-  but this is my 3rd week guest designing for Just Us Girls card challenge and look at their mood board this week!

All those flowers are gorgeous and bright!! I knew I needed to be brighter than usual and it was actually so fun!

I was so inspired by all the colors and different kind of flowers in the mood board picture!

I saw the June challenge at PinkFresh Studio called “Flutter and Florals” and it inspired me to reach for my PinkFresh stash. I have so many beautiful floral products from them!

Here are the PinkFresh products I used on my card-

Floral – Garden Party die (This die is so cool!  It’s one piece and you get a ton of flowers and leaves with just one swipe through your die cutter!)

Background die – Simply Diamonds (I used it like a lattice background. Would be fun to add more layers for this effect but I decided to keep it clean with just one)

Sentiment – Basic Banners Everyday Sentiments

To get the variety of color, and shading that I wanted, I die cut all of it in white and used sponge daubers in several different Catherine Pooler ink pads.  I just love the colors!! All inspired by the beautiful mood board at Just Us Girls

Hope you’ll go play along!  Thanks for stopping by to see my card today!

Aloha!

I have a Clean and Simple card to share today for my second week guest designing for Just Us Girls. Here’s their theme for this week

Certainly we all have tons of cute summer stamps and dies!  My current favorite are these seashell dies by Hero Arts

I love any beach where I can collect seashells. It’s my second favorite hobby (next to making cards!) And the beach just screams summer! 🐚🌴

The 3D embossing folder is from Simon Says Stamp and the cute frame with a bow is from The Greetery.  I was inspired to use the frame with a bow when I saw the Double D challenge with the prompt to add a bow!  I love bows!

I layered the outside frame as well as the center frame with the bow 3 times for some extra dimension

That cute little “aloha” is from a set by Concord and 9th. I wanted a sentiment that spoke summer  and that was the perfect size too!

Thank you for stopping by to see my card today!  Be sure to head to Just Us Girls to play along with your summer card🌞
