You did it!

It’s that time of year for graduations! So I currently have lots of graduation cards going and it’s perfect for the current challenge at Double Trouble! They are having an 8th Anniversary Celebration Raffle

Thing 1 says to chose your raffle ticket and I chose green – graduation

Thing 3 wants to see some kraft paper on your project.  It was the perfect tone for the center of my little grad images!

I used these adorable graduation images by Close to My Heart. One is called “You Did It!” and the other is “Congrats Roll”.

The fun wavy circle dies are from Scrapbook.com and are new!  They are so versatile- I’m excited to use them lots!

I’m also playing along with the Inspiration Station challenge. Here’s their challenge photo and of course I was inspired by the graduates!

This is only one of many that I need to get done this week – as we have many awesome kids that graduated High School in our circle of family and friends this year.  Maybe I’ll just need to do them all the same.

Thanks for stopping by to see my card today!

You’re lovely

What a busy time of year!  I feel so lucky to have gotten this card finished lol!  But Double Trouble has a “wheelie cool” challenge going

The recipe by a thing 1 is

3 layers (card base does not count) – my card features a layer of pretty pattern paper, pinked circles in a coordinating pattern paper, and white circles layered inside. Then images layered on those

2 shapes – rectangle, pinked circles, banner tabs

1 image – I did lots!  Bike, flowers, balloons, etc

I used a Hero Arts kit from years ago!  It’s remained my favorite kit of all time.  I love the cute style of art that it is and all the cute images that it includes

I did a simple and light watercolor to color the images.

Thing 3 says to include a wheel, cam, or gears. I immediately thought of this cute bike and was excited to use it for my card!

Thing 2 encourages us to play along with TSOT. I loved the sketch so I used it for inspiration for my layout

And with all these fun details and challenges met, my card was finished!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you are doing wonderful!

3 cards, 1 die, 1 color palette

I saw the challenge photo for the April Altenew challenge and loved it!

I grabbed a couple Altenew dies and had some fun.  The main die I used was the Rose Queen die. It has such a tropical look so I thought it would kind of match the inspiration photo. I made 3 different cards using it

The color palette is so tropical too! It was fun to just play around with different placement of it and use the die in different ways to complete each card

I also used word dies by Altenew.  I made each one a different shape or size

And a fun set was done!

Thanks for stopping by to see them today!

Congratulations

I have a special one today for the new “Special Day” challenge at Double Trouble!  This wedding card is for a sweet family friend who just tied the knot💕

The recipe by Thing 1 is

3 layers (your card base can count on this round)

2 shapes or images (I put the wedding cake on an oval, inside the center arch of my embossing folder)

1 stenciled or embossed element (I did a 3D embossing folder)

Thing 3 gives the option of using flowers.  That’s my favorite kind of card to make! The main flowers on mine are the ones in the dry embossing folder that I used.  It’s such a pretty one by Spellbinders!  I brushed white ink over it to make it stand out even more

As I looked at different challenges going on – another one inspired me – the As You Like It Challenge. Their prompt was “Do you prefer brights or pastels and why?” It’s always pastels for me and it’s because I love soft or muted colors in my card making!  I don’t branch out to bright colors very often (but sometimes a challenge will get me out of that box!)

The pretty cake is from Altenew and I colored it in the soft blue, pink, and peach pastel colors

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you will join us at Double Trouble for our “Special Day” challenge

Happy Birthday floral scroll

I have a die-cut-only card today featuring some dimensional floral

I got my inspiration from the mood board over at

Just us Girls.  Look how pretty it is

So much spring goodness!  I was particularly drawn to the quote.  I loved the colors and the feel of it!

The floral dies are from Sizzix and that beautiful scroll die is from Papertrey Ink. The sentiment is by Paper Rose. A fun mix of products that brought my card together!

I also was inspired by optional twist at The Paper Funday challenge, which was to use die cuts or punches.  My card is made entirely from die cuts!

After die cutting and shading everything, I tucked all the floral into the scroll and I just love how it turned out.

Thank you for stopping by to see it today!

Beautiful, Confident, One of a kind

Happy Friday!  So happy the weekend is here!  Today I have a slimline card using some very old stamps that I dug out for a couple of great challenges that remind us to use our supplies – not just keep buying new.

The first one is Shopping our Stash and their current challenge “I don’t sweat, I sparkle”

I made the back panel by doing some ombre blending and then coloring the entire thing with a Wink of Stella glitter brush. It turned out so pretty and VERY glittery! I also added sparkly black gems. The stamps I used on this card are from Close to my Heart and are probably 20 years old!  I had to fussy cut because there was no matching dies back in those days

The other challenge I’m playing with is Neglected Stuff. They have no theme except to use our neglected stuff!  I’m all about supporting such a challenge because I think we all have neglected stuff.  These girl stamps were definitely neglected in my stash!

This will be such a fun card to give to a friend to encourage or celebrate.

Thanks for stopping by to see it!

Spring is here!

I’m so thankful that my favorite season is here!  I love spring SO MUCH! 🌷Today’s card is full of spring beauty and is for the new Double Trouble challenge starting today

The recipe by Thing 1 is (these are just minimums.  You can do more!)

3 pattern and/or special papers- I used 2 pattern papers and 1 green mulberry paper (behind the newsprint paper)

2 colors from the color wheel – green, pink, blue, light apricot)

1 image – bird, flowers

All the stamps and dies on my card are from Honeybee Stamps.  My design was also inspired by their challenge on Facebook “florals and greenery” – which is my favorite kind of cards to make! I chose to do no sentiment.  I like doing that frequently so that I can grab the card for any occasion

I’m loving all the flowers and trees coming to life with spring being here.  And all the birds at the feeders just make me so happy!  I chose a bird for my main focus to go with Thing 3’s option to add a flying element.

Thing 2 gives the option to play along with the sketch at TSOT (which starts tomorrow – this is just a sneak peek) I used this sketch for my layout inspiration

Happy Easter!

I’m so excited that we have arrived to Holy Week! To start the week off, Double Trouble has a new challenge for us and it’s everyone’s favorite – Something Anything Everything!

Thing 1 wants to see you create your own 3-2-1 ingredients.  Here’s what I did

3 – Easter Eggs (This also fulfills the option to add an Easter element)

2 – layers or more

1 – sentiment – Happy Easter

These 3 eggs are from Spellbinders, all the layers and dry embossing is from The Greetery, and the sentiment is from a very old Stampin’ Up! set

I realized I have very few Easter card making supplies!  Digging through my stash and using different company’s products made this one an extra challenge – and also very fun! Everything is colored by blending Distress Oxide ink onto each die cut

I love all the texture!  Do you have any favorite Easter products? Especially the reverent kind – focused on Jesus.  Share with me if so!

This is a larger size card than the usual A2, which I don’t make too often but it fit this larger panel perfectly

Thank you for stopping by today!  I’ll see you soon with another card.  Have a beautiful and wonderful Holy Week full of love and peace.  This is one of my favorite graphics for Easter

So thankful for Jesus Christ🙏

You are Loved

Spring is springing and I’m loving every second!! It’s getting more beautiful by the day with things turning green, leaves growing on trees, and plants coming back to life🌱

My card today is to celebrate this sweet season and play along with the Four Seasons challenge. Their theme is “spring”

I also took inspiration from the Paper Fun Day challenge to use Feathers. These pretty feathers are from the same kit I used a couple cards ago – Spellbinders “Wonderful Things”

I love the colors and the all the layers

Thank you for stopping by to see today’s card! See you again soon😊

Just a Note

I’ve got a cute critter card for the latest Double Trouble challenge!

Thing 1’s recipe this time around is

3 colors (combining primary + neutrals) I did blue, pink and kraft

2 images – cute little pandas!

1 sentiment – Just a Note

These adorable pandas are from the Mama Elephant set “Little Panda Agenda”. And the frame die cuts are as well. They are from the Union Square Frame Tags. Makes for a nice focal point!

Thing 3 wants to see 4 legged friends. Was a good challenge as I forget to pull out critter stamp sets a lot! These were fun to pull out and use

Head to Double Trouble to see all the details and play along!
