Pink and Brown hello

I used to think that pink and brown was the best color combination ever!!! I would dress my little girls in it and would wear it myself too! But as the years went by, new color combinations became favorites and that one faded away.  So when I saw Color Hues challenge stampers to use pink and brown – it was time to revisit the old favorite!

I used Spellbinders dies and different hues of pink and brown to bring my design together

It was so fun to see this sweet combo together again!

Thanks for stopping by to check this one out.  Have a wonderful week!

Seashells and smiles

It’s a new challenge at Double Trouble!

Thing 1 wants to know what makes you happy! I have so many things that make me happy in life.  One of them is seashells!  So I decided on that for my card theme

These fabulous seashells are by Gina K

Thing 3 wants to see you include a smile.  It can be the word “smile”, a smiley face, or a character that is smiling!  I chose a smile die cut that I think came from Simon Says Stamp

Thing 2 says to partner up with “If you give a crafter a cookie”

Their theme is just to be happy!  So if you made a smile card, be sure to enter it there too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas in July

Hello everyone!  Are you surviving the heat? It’s time to think about the cool times of winter with a Christmas in July challenge at Double Trouble

Let’s start with the fun element that Thing 1 says to do – include a window!

I made the window be the whole front of my card

I glued some sequins to the window age the sentiment shows through from the inside.  Here’s a little better view

Those cute snowmen are from Hello Bluebird and the sentiment is from Reverse Confetti.  The frame is MFT. It all comes together perfect for Thing 3’s challenge of Christmas in July with an optional twist of snow people.

The colors I chose are non traditional for Christmas.  I was inspired by Color Throwdown’s current challenge of coral, blue, and gray

If you make a card with a snowman and a window element, you meet Thing 2’s requirement in order to play along with our partner “Jingle Bells” Dashing through the snow. So be sure to go there to enter your card!

Thank you for stopping by and i can’t wait to see your snowmen and windows!

Love you, friend!

Hello and happy July!  There’s a new challenge up over at Double Trouble and it’s perfect for summer!

Thing 1 wants to see Dry Embossing, heat embossing, or stenciling. I chose this bubbly dry embossing folder to showcase these cute summery elements

Thing 2 wants to see elements from water parks or theme parks.  I chose water park! I don’t like theme parks in the middle of summer.  It’s too hot to stand in lines! But water parks are perfect to keep everyone cool

These cute images are from Catherine Pooler and are exactly what you’d see at a water park!  Hats, flip flops, cold drinks, and sunglasses!

We’re teaming up with Park Hopping – My Happy Place. We hope you’ll play along with both and enter your card for us to see💗

Fancy Congrats

It’s been a while since I’ve played with a Tic-Tac-Toe  challenge, and I love them!  So today, I did just that

I went with the bottom row and made a wedding card for my nephew

The main large floral piece in the back, as well as the layering pieces are all pattern paper.  I then layered floral dies over the pieces for added texture.  Then I added gems to the center of the flowers and a few sequins to finish it off

The flower dies are by Spellbinders and the congrats die was from my stash so I’m not sure where it’s from!  I love it when I get to use something that’s been sitting. I just added a few layers of gold embossing powder to it, and it was perfect for this creation

Thanks for stopping by to see my card today and I hope your week is going wonderful!

Floral Thank You

Hello and happy Monday!  Double Trouble has my favorite kind of challenge going – floral!

But before we get to floral, Thing 1 wants to see slimline!  I love long skinny cards, too so I was excited to get going on this card

All the stamps and dies I used on this one are by PinkFresh Studio

I colored the florals using my Zig pens and then I added Wink of Stella over all the blooms. It’s not very easy to capture the glimmer that gives but I think you can see it in this pic

Thing 2 has us partnering with “I Spy With My Little Eye – Blooming lovely” challenge

If you make a slimline floral card, be sure to link up with both Double Trouble as well as I Spy With My Little Eye!

Thanks for stopping by today

Hello masculine card

Hey friends!  A new challenge is up at Double Trouble and this time, Thing 1 says we are making cards for guys

Thing 3 is making it easy by saying to use shades of aqua – which is prefect for guy cards!

I actually made a set out of this challenge

I just love these colors together!  I used lots of smooshing and water coloring to create the tags and the leaves

The leaves are from Kat Scrappiness and the hello die is Spellbinders.  The “hi” dies are from Stamp Market

Thing 2 says to play along at Colorful Options and enterb there too! Here’s their inspiration photo

Thanks for stopping by today!

Sweet Happy Birthday

I have a sweet treats card to share today that I made to play along with the challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches

I flipped the sketch the other way and added some frozen treats!

These cute stamps and dies are from an old Stampin’ Up! set

The embossing folder is by Spellbinders

I’ll put a Dairy Queen gift card inside, and this will be ready to give!

Thanks for stopping by💕

Congrats grad!

Happy 6th Anniversary to Double Trouble!! I’m so honored to be part of this fun challenge blog.

This new challenge has some fun options.   I’m making lots of grad cards right now.    I think I have 6 graduates to celebrate this year!  This is perfect because the new challenge has an option for graduation cards

Thing 1 is doing a 6th Anniversary raffle.  You can choose your card theme to be anniversary, Father’s Day, Birthday, and Graduation

I used cute stamps from Close to My Heart for my creation today

Thing 3 wants to see kraft. And Thing 2 wants to see you partner with a previous challenge partner.  I chose Inspiration Station.  I love the bright pink flowers and green grass.  I based my colors off their inspo photo

We hope to see you okay along and celebrate with us!  Thanks for stopping to see my card today!

You’re beautiful

Hello!  I’ve been having so much fun stamping the past couple of days.  And I’ve joined along with a few challenges!  I’ll be sharing my creations over the next several days.  Today, I played along with the Hero Arts challenge, which I haven’t done for a long time!

The theme is Tea for Two. And the challenge is to make a card with two of a particular element on it, make two cards as a pair, make a tea-themed card, use two colours or two colouring media, or make a card with the number 2 on it!

I chose to make a card with 2 of a particular element – and my element is a hummingbird!  There’s the main colored love and then the silhouette one below the flowers

I love hummingbirds so much!  This one comes from a Hero Arts stamp set called. “From the Vault, Realistic Animals”

I made this card for a friend who lost her son many years ago.  Hummingbirds remind her if him

Thanks for stopping by!

See you again soon with more happy stamping
