Let’s go out!

Double Trouble has a new challenge today!

Thing 3 wants to challenge us to include a mouse or a food that goes well with cheese.  My second favorite thing to eat with cheese is BREAD!  (My first favorite is tortillas.  But I don’t have a tortilla stamp lol)

So how about this cute little cafe with a bread sign?

Thing 1’s 3-2-1 recipe is

3 images – mine is the cafe, the sign, the plant and the bread.  All from the Lawn Fawn set “Village Shops”

2 pattern papers – these 2 are from the Honeybee paper collection called “Autumn Afternoon”

1 sentiment that makes you smile – it’s so fun to have a friend or my hubby or one of my kids say “Let’s go out!” So that is the sentiment I chose.  It’s from the same set as the images

Here’s another angle to see the pattern paper.  I love it!

Thing 3 says to play along with TSOT by using their sketch

I flipped the sketch for my design and it ended up  turning out fun

Can’t wait to see the cards that everyone makes with these fun ideas!

Thinking of You

Let’s start the new year off with a cuddly hug!

Double Trouble is back and has some fun new changes

3-2-1 will be a regular feature from Thing 1 now!  This time around, she wants to see at least

3 colors, 2 layers, 1 image

Thing 3 is giving you the added challenge of making that image a cuddly or warm one!

I love this cute Lawn Fawn image of a bunny and fox hugging.  I’ve got lots of layers, created with dies by Reverse Confetti

Thing 2 says to play along with either Try a Sketch on Tuesday or else Critter Crazy. I chose critter crazy since I took the challenge by Thing 3

So excited for a new year!  May it be full of stamping for us all😊

Slimline gift card Merry Christmas

Hello and happy Monday!  And happy December!! Yay!!! Such a special month🎄🙏

Today starts a new challenge at Double Trouble and it’s time to get your Christmas supplies out, if you haven’t already!

Thing 1 says it’s up to you!  You decide what you want to make.  For a fun twist, try out Thing 3’s challenge – use a bow, ribbon, cord, twine, etc!

I did a die cut bow. This one is from Kat Scrappiness.

Thing 2 says to enter your card at Jingle Belles or any other previous partner

I love this pretty graphic.  Especially the candy cane tucked in the foliage.  So I did the same on my card with a tiny little candy cane, which is from Tim Holtz

The pretty foliage is from The Stamp Market. The slimline background die is from Catherine Pooler, the sentiment is from Gina K, and the gift card pocket is from Avery Elle. There are lots of different products on this card! I especially love the b little gift card pocket on the front

I can’t wait to see what everyone gets making with all the Christmas inspiration out there!  Thanks for stopping by to see my card today

Merry Christmas! 🎄

CAS hello

Double Trouble is playing with both sketches at Atlantic Hearts for their challenge round this time!  So it’s time for the 2nd sketch!

I thought that looked like the perfect sketch to do a Clean and Simple card

I thickened up the vertical stripe in the sketch and made it a bolder piece of pattern paper to coordinate with the flowers I used

Krafty Chicks is a challenge I recently came across, and if you follow me, you know I love challenges and supporting them!  So for this card’s clean and simple style is for Krafty Chicks

Does anyone remember Amuse Studio? I don’t know if they are around anymore!  I don’t think so.  But these floral stamps and coordinating did are from an old set by them that I haven’t used in forever. Was fun to pull out again!

And that’s my card for today!  I think the rest of my cards for the year will be Christmas themed! And I’m ready for it!

Thanks for stopping by!

I love Fall!

I can hardly believe it’s Thanksgiving day!!! So here’s my last autumn themed card for the year. I made a set of them, each with a slight variation.  I don’t think I’m ready for winter!  But this set was fun to wish fall farewell

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I used Catherine Pooler Stamps and dies and focused around the theme of the challenge over at “A Cut Above” such is “Warm it Up” and use die cuts.  Nothing that says warm up like hot cocoa

I also loved the inspirational picture at Four Seasons. Especially the leaves.  So full of fall!

I am so thankful for so many wonderful friends and family.  And I’m so thankful it has been such a beautiful autumn.  Time to prepare for Christmas!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Thanks so very much

Happy Monday! New challenge day for Double Trouble

Thing 1 wants to see you “stitch it up”

So break out the stitched dies, your stitching stamps, or anything else to do with “stitches”!

My card is full of stitched dies.  Double stitched around the edges, single stitched for the center panel, and stitched strips behind the sentiment. I did a “thanks” theme for my card to play along with The Flower Challenge (another one of my favorite challenges)

I tend to grab for similar colors all the time.  So, I looked through some favorite color challenges.  When I saw this pretty palette at Color Dare, I knew that was it

Such a pretty palette! Not one I would think of on my own

And finally, this sketch is inspired by the challenge partner that Thing 2 has us playing with.  Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge

It’s fun how many ideas can come from playing along with different challenges!  My card today was born of 4 different ones, and it was so fun.

What’s YOUR favorite card challenge to play along with?

Purple blossoms Happy Birthday

Hello and happy Sunday!  I have a card full of purple today!  Lilac to be exact

I don’t reach for purple very often!  And I don’t know why.  I love purple!  I also love products by Spellbinders.  So stern I saw their challenge, I definitely wanted to jump on the chance!

I grabbed a couple of different lilac hues and got to work with some fun Spellbinders dies

I used the Petite Floral Potpourri and Essential Arches dies. The sentiment comes from the Sending Sentiments stamps and dies

That pretty dry emboss folder is also by Spellbinders and I love the beautiful dimensional diamonds behind my floral arch center.  To add some sparkle, I added a mini diamond to the center of each flower

I have a friend who loves purple everything.  I’ll be saving this one to give to her for next birthday!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Hot chocolate and fall leaves

Happy Monday, and happy November!  It’s time for another fun challenge at Double Trouble!

Thing 1 wants to see “lotsa layers”. I love layers and dimension on cards!

I went with all the warm tones of fall and filled my card with autumn leaves from Your Next Stamp.  I layered them all up behind these darling little cocoa mugs from Sizzix.

Who knew that such a tiny little die, colored and pieced together, could turn into such a darling feature! I’m so in love with this little mug!

I layered the mugs up on a circle and then up onto a metal frame. These cute frames are from my stash from a long time ago.  Remember “Hodgepodge Hardware” from Stampin Up!? I still have a bunch of it, and it’s fun to reach for still sometimes

Thing 3 has us using this fabulous inspiration photo from Inspiration Station to make our project.  It was the colors, leaves, and the cocoa that inspired me!

If you use the photo for inspiration and also use a hot drink image, be sure to link up with our challenge friends over at Inspiration Station and also the 2024 Coffee Lovers blog hop!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you are having a beautiful autumn 🍂

Autumn hot chocolate!

Happy Monday!  It’s such a beautiful time of year and I’m loving all things Autumn!  The new challenge at Double Trouble starts today and has us reaching for some of those fall themed images

Thing 1 will take anything and everything!  So whatever you are making can go in this challenge!  But Thing 3 is the one saying to grab any image or element that gives a fall vibe

Pumpkins, acorns, leaves, hot chocolate = serious fall vibes!! And that’s what my card is full of!

Thing 2 loves to see us partner up with another challenge always, but today, you get to pick! Check out the list of previous partners at Double Trouble and see if there’s a challenge you would like to play along with, too! I love the sketches at Atlantic Hearts, so I chose them and their fabulous current sketch

Also!  One of our very favorites to support this time of year is the Coffee Lovers Fall and Winter blog hop!  So get out your coffee, tea, and cocoa images and add those into the mix!

Plenty of fun twists and options this challenge.  We can’t wait to see all of your fabulous projects!

Succulent Happy Birthday

My card today was created using the Tic Tac Toe challenge board and I went with the bottom row, across

For the embossing, I chose dry embossing with an embossing folder for both the main green panel, as well as the oval in the center.  For the die cut, the floral and sentiment banner. And for the matching envelope, I used my envelope and liner stencil that has sat for a very long time waiting to be used again!

These stamps and dies are by Concord and 9th. I colored this floral so that the main piece looked like a succulent

This card was made for my beautiful mother and and she loved it. It’s definitely more like spring colors, but I’ll always love classic florals even through fall and winter! I love the coordinating envelope, and this makes me want to use my envelope stencils more!

Thanks for stopping by to see my card today!
