Sailing hello

It’s a new week and a new challenge at Double Trouble!

Thing 1 has given us a recipe and a theme of “My Guy” to get us making Father’s Day cards!

3 layers, 2 pattern papers, 1 kraft piece

Thing 3 says to include an element that represents what your guy loves to do

This sailboat image is from Stampin Up! and is seriously probably 20 years old!  My guy doesn’t necessarily live to sail – but being on a boat on the ocean to fish is definitely a favorite way to spend his time when he can!

When I make a masculine card, it’s usually very clean and simple.  It just seems to be more masculine to me.

What does a guy in your life like to do? Make a masculine card featuring that and play along with us at Double Trouble!

Thanks for stopping by today

Oh sweet Summer!

Summer is here, and so is the heat!!  And it’s time for a new challenge at Double Trouble!

Thing 1 is calling this one “Sun Fun” and has a recipe of

3- torn edges

2- colors

1- punched or die cut or ephemeral item

Thing 3 says to include flip flops.  That’s my favorite kind of shoe!  I’m always wearing flip flops. These cute images are from Catherine Pooler and the pretty paper is from Stamperia

Thing 2 says to play along with TSOT challenge if you want to add in some extra fun. The sketch is great for a torn paper design!

And with those fun prompts, pull out your summer images and see what flip flops you have in it!  Make a card and link it up at Double Trouble – we’d love to see it

Thanks for stopping by to see my beachy card today!

Congratulations!

I have a new niece and this card is for her! Her name is Paisley and so I just had to do a design with a paisley theme!

This card is for the new challenge at Double Trouble that starts today!

This is our 7th anniversary and there’s some fun to be had!  Thing 1 says to pick your raffle ticket!

I chose the pink one which is birthday or baby.  Baby it is!

Thing 3 says to add some kraft. The edging of my card is from a really cute kraft bag that I received at a gift shop when I purchased something! I have been saving it, knowing it would look so cute on a mixed media card.  This was definitely the time to use it!

One blog visitor will be sent a prize to celebrate the 7th Anniversary of Double Trouble! So leave a comment for your chance for some blog candy🎉 can’t wait to see what cards we see in the gallery too!

These stamps and dies are from my old Stampin Up! stash.  I still love this cute set!  Do you remember it?

Life has had me so busy lately. It felt so good to sit down and create.  I’m so excited to send this to my niece to congratulate them on their sweet new Paisley😊

Happy stamping!

Eggs, Bows, and Tags!

Today’s post is all about the bows!! They are trending and they are darling!!

These cute eggs with bows wrapped around them are from Ink Road Stamps. And my card is for the new challenge over at Double Trouble!

Here’s the 3-2-1 recipe from Thing 1

My 3 pastel colors are purple, pink, and green.  Happy Easter is 2 words.  And my card is a mini slimline. Recipe complete!

Thing 3 has an optional twist to include an egg.  I included 3, embossed, and colored.  It’s all about the bows right now!!! And we are loving them at our house and they had their place at my daughter’s wedding!  She had a cute big bow on the back of her wedding dress, and she had her bridesmaids all wear a darling bow in their hair.

So while I made this card so full of bows, I thought of this cute picture at her wedding

The mini slim dies, and the bow die are both from Kat Scrappiness

Thank you for stopping by today!  We hope to see you play along with us at Double Trouble!

Spring is here!

I’m so happy that tomorrow is April 1st! Spring is here and it’s so beautiful to see all the plants and flowers coming back to life!  You know what April means – showers!  That’s the theme of the challenge at Double Trouble

So I made a fun little spring scene with happy animals and flowers blooming

These are stamps from Streamside Studios and are just adorable. Here’s the recipe from Thing 1

3 colors of the rainbow – I used red, green, blue and yellow

2 dies – rectangle frame die, oval frame die

1 created scene – happy spring animals, flowers, blue sky, green.  A spring scene

Thing 3 says to include an element you enjoy in April showers. Mine is the flowers!  I love them!

Thing 2 invites you to play along with TSOT if you’d like.  I didn’t this time, but it’s a fun one if you’d like!

We hope you’ll join us and share your scenes!

Thanks for stopping by!

You are loved

Hello and happy St Patrick’s Day🍀

I have a fun floral card today for the new challenge at Double Trouble!

As you can see, it’s everyone’s favorite – anything goes! Reach into your stash and get creative with whatever you feel like creating. Thing 2 and 3 do have a fun sketch to play with if you want to play with our partner Try Stamping on Tuesday

My recipe ingredients are

3-colors

2 flowers

1- sentiment

I love the idea of floral going diagonally across the card!  Floral cards are my favorite to make!

These florals and sentiment are from PinkFresh Studio and I love them!!  The dies are actually from one big floral plate, which is really cool

So, after running this through a couple of times with white card stock, I colored all the pieces with different colors of ink. I placed them all across the card, diagonally – as inspired by the sketch

I decided the sentiment looked a little better centered, so I switched that up from the sketch instead of doing it on the lower left, and I love how it turned out

I hope you have a fabulous day and be sure to wear green!

🙂 Kellianne

Lucky love you

Happy March!!! It’s been a CRAZY last month.  My daughter got engaged to her love of 3 years.  And the engagement was only 22 days!  We pulled off an incredible day and they are happily married!

So I haven’t really got to stamp any cards at all for what feels like forever.

I was happy to sit back down to my stamp desk and create a card for the latest Double Trouble challenge!

Thing 1 wants to see you “Pinch Proof” and here is her 3-2-1 recipe to help you do just that

And here’s my card with this recipe

The color I added besides green and gold was pink for the butterfly plus a little blue sky.  The 2 stencils are the stripes at the bottom of the panel and the dots on top. And the “Love You” sentiment finished it up

It makes for a sweet March card!  The stamps and coordinating dies are from SugarPea Designs.  I don’t know what happened to that Stamp company!  Do you? I sure loved them!

We hope you’ll play along with the Pinch Proof fun!  Head to Double Trouble for all the details you might want in order to join the fun.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Spring floral Thank You

It has been an extremely busy time around my place! Card making has taken a backseat and I miss it.  But I was able to sit down and make one for the new Double Trouble challenge that starts today!

Let’s start with Thing 1’s recipe this time around

Embellishments and layers are the biggest deal here!

My 3 embellishments are the pearls at the center of the flowers, sequins, and ribbon

Thing 3 wants to see flowers or the TSOT sketch (in the above graphic that Thing 1 is holding)

I did both.  My floral background was designed for the diagonal piece going down from the circle.  And I centered the circle a bit more than the sketch

And lastly, Thing 2 invites you to go add your card to TSOT if you played along using their sketch too

Thanks for stopping by to check it out.  This card gives me spring fever!!! I’m getting so excited for March to arrive!

Big hugs

🙂 Kellianne

Love this💕

Back with a new Double Trouble challenge!

Thing 1’s recipe for 3-2-1 is this

I pulled out a card-of-the-month kit by Spellbinders that has been waiting for me to use it! It’s called “Wonderful Things”

Thing 3 says to include a heart or a sentiment.  I did both!

And thing 2 says to partner up with TSOT challenge and try their sketch out!  You can see the cute sketch in Thing 1’s hand in the above graphic.  I put the strips of paper inside the circle to switch it up a little.  I love the papers and images in this kit!

And that’s my card for today!  I’m excited to see what everyone does with this recipe.

Thanks for stopping by!

Let’s go out!

Double Trouble has a new challenge today!

Thing 3 wants to challenge us to include a mouse or a food that goes well with cheese.  My second favorite thing to eat with cheese is BREAD!  (My first favorite is tortillas.  But I don’t have a tortilla stamp lol)

So how about this cute little cafe with a bread sign?

Thing 1’s 3-2-1 recipe is

3 images – mine is the cafe, the sign, the plant and the bread.  All from the Lawn Fawn set “Village Shops”

2 pattern papers – these 2 are from the Honeybee paper collection called “Autumn Afternoon”

1 sentiment that makes you smile – it’s so fun to have a friend or my hubby or one of my kids say “Let’s go out!” So that is the sentiment I chose.  It’s from the same set as the images

Here’s another angle to see the pattern paper.  I love it!

Thing 3 says to play along with TSOT by using their sketch

I flipped the sketch for my design and it ended up  turning out fun

Can’t wait to see the cards that everyone makes with these fun ideas!
