Hot chocolate and fall leaves

Happy Monday, and happy November!  It’s time for another fun challenge at Double Trouble!

Thing 1 wants to see “lotsa layers”. I love layers and dimension on cards!

I went with all the warm tones of fall and filled my card with autumn leaves from Your Next Stamp.  I layered them all up behind these darling little cocoa mugs from Sizzix.

Who knew that such a tiny little die, colored and pieced together, could turn into such a darling feature! I’m so in love with this little mug!

I layered the mugs up on a circle and then up onto a metal frame. These cute frames are from my stash from a long time ago.  Remember “Hodgepodge Hardware” from Stampin Up!? I still have a bunch of it, and it’s fun to reach for still sometimes

Thing 3 has us using this fabulous inspiration photo from Inspiration Station to make our project.  It was the colors, leaves, and the cocoa that inspired me!

If you use the photo for inspiration and also use a hot drink image, be sure to link up with our challenge friends over at Inspiration Station and also the 2024 Coffee Lovers blog hop!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you are having a beautiful autumn 🍂

Autumn hot chocolate!

Happy Monday!  It’s such a beautiful time of year and I’m loving all things Autumn!  The new challenge at Double Trouble starts today and has us reaching for some of those fall themed images

Thing 1 will take anything and everything!  So whatever you are making can go in this challenge!  But Thing 3 is the one saying to grab any image or element that gives a fall vibe

Pumpkins, acorns, leaves, hot chocolate = serious fall vibes!! And that’s what my card is full of!

Thing 2 loves to see us partner up with another challenge always, but today, you get to pick! Check out the list of previous partners at Double Trouble and see if there’s a challenge you would like to play along with, too! I love the sketches at Atlantic Hearts, so I chose them and their fabulous current sketch

Also!  One of our very favorites to support this time of year is the Coffee Lovers Fall and Winter blog hop!  So get out your coffee, tea, and cocoa images and add those into the mix!

Plenty of fun twists and options this challenge.  We can’t wait to see all of your fabulous projects!

Succulent Happy Birthday

My card today was created using the Tic Tac Toe challenge board and I went with the bottom row, across

For the embossing, I chose dry embossing with an embossing folder for both the main green panel, as well as the oval in the center.  For the die cut, the floral and sentiment banner. And for the matching envelope, I used my envelope and liner stencil that has sat for a very long time waiting to be used again!

These stamps and dies are by Concord and 9th. I colored this floral so that the main piece looked like a succulent

This card was made for my beautiful mother and and she loved it. It’s definitely more like spring colors, but I’ll always love classic florals even through fall and winter! I love the coordinating envelope, and this makes me want to use my envelope stencils more!

Thanks for stopping by to see my card today!

Happy Birthday mixed media

Today, I have a card that was so fun to make!  I used all pattern paper thanks to the challenge prompt over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. They are also highlighting Stamperia products, so I pulled out my absolute favorite pattern paper pad!  It’s called Songs of the Sea

Every single sheet in this pack of paper is sealicious!!!! It wasn’t hard to create a very textured looking card with just the papers!!

I haven’t made a stamping video for Instagram in such a long time.  I decided to go ahead and hit record for this one!  Head over there to check it out and thanks for stopping by my blog!

Autumn window happy birthday

A new week, a new month, and a new challenge at Double Trouble!

Thing 1 wants you to use at least 3 colors from the above left bat image. I challenged myself to do all the colors!  And I went with the more muted hue of each color

Thing 3 says to use a Halloween or fall die. I went with fall and made a pretty window scene with fall flowers, leaves, squash and pinecone.  I used the Honeybee dies from their “Lovely Layers Seasonal Frame.

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge is what inspired me to head this direction with it.  It’s to use Honeybee products and include “things with wings”

I did a soft watercolor on ask the die cuts before piecing it all together and i just love how it turned out!

Our challenge partner this time around is A Cut Above. And their challenge is anything goes!  Be sure to visit them too!

See you soon with more stamping💌

Sending Hugs

Happy Monday! And happy new Double Trouble Challenge day!

It’s everyone’s favorite!  Anything goes!

But Thing 3 does have an optional twist – use a piglet or a pink and brown color palette. I chose to do pink and brown floral card

I just did a pink and brown card a few projects ago.  It was so fun that I couldn’t resist picking this option and making one again!

Thing 2 says to pick one of our previous partners as another option.  I chose this fabulous sketch from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge

What a fun layout!

We hope you’ll join along and link up! Happy stamping!

Monochrome wedding card

I have a very dimensional card today!  This one is for a newlywed couple that is very dear to our family. And I’m playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge, which is “monochrome”

I used the Floribunda Rose die set by Spellbinders  and water colored each piece before assembly.  I used shades of teal to coordinate with their wedding color palette

It was fun to layer up the petals and watch these pretty roses come together!  Now to find a way to ship it to them carefully…

Thanks for stopping by to see today’s card!

I’ll be back again tomorrow with another pretty floral one 😊

An Autumn “miss you”

Hello friends! Double Trouble has a new challenge today and it’s time to pull out your punches and dies!

Of course I chose dies! I don’t know if there’s a single card I have made in years that didn’t use dies.  My Big Shot gets used every time I sit to make a card! Today’s dies – leaves by The Stamp Market. The multi-circle die behind the leaves is by Close To My Heart

Thing 3 wants to see is use this sketch by Try a Sketch on Tuesday

I had lots of ideas come to mind for it!  Snowflakes, ornaments, flowers… but in the end, I chose autumn leaves

If you use punches or dies on your card and use that sketch, be sure to enter your card at both Double Trouble and Try a Sketch on Tuesday!

Thanks for stopping by to see my card today.  Can’t wait to see the cards that everyone makes with these challenges!

Thanks you sweet thing!

Double Trouble starts a fruity new challenge today!

Thing 1 wants to see fruits and fruity colors

My fruits are from Skin Says Stamp and I colored them using Zig Clean Color markers

Next up, Thing 3 wants to see you use at least one more element from Festive Fridays inspiration list

I chose gingham as well as scalloped edges to add to my fruit and fruity colors

Thing 2 has us joining along with Festive Friday!  I love their challenges! It’s so fun to look at their list and get creative on ways to add a few of the elements on it. So take a look and see how you can stretch your creativity and be sure to add your link with them too!

Thanks for stopping to see my bright fruity card!

Just a Note

I’ve got another die-cut-only card today!  This one is for the new challenge starting today at Double Trouble!

Thing 1 is calling for her 3-2-1 recipe!

3- must have 3 layers

2- must have 2 embellishments

1- image (stamp, digital, or die cut!)

As you can see, my card has lots of layers!  My 2 embellishments are the pink dots and ribbon (and there’s a 3rd if you look close and see the clear dew drop in the yellow flower). And if course, my images are the cute mushrooms!

These dies are all by Spellbinders.  The mushrooms are so fun to inlay and put together

Thing 3 gives the optional twist to use at least 3 colors from this ice cream cone. This is the challenge at Color Dare and Thing 2 has us joining them this time around!

I did pastel tone of pink, blue, green and yellow.  It’s an easy challenge since all the colors are there in that bright ice cream!

Thanks for stopping by to see my card, and I hope to see lots of cute cards in the Double Trouble linkup for this challenge!
