Glitz gel love

I have found a new product love!!  I ordered this stuff out of curiosity and set it aside.  But then I pulled it out to play along with Gina K’s November challenge – which is “Let it Snow”

And I fell in LOVE!!!!!!  Look how pretty these snowflakes turned out using it!

gina k 16

The snowflakes are from the stencil for the mini wreath builder

And that “Merry Christmas” is probably my favorite Merry Christmas sentiment of all time.  That font is perfection!!!

gina k 18

The snowflakes in the background that I did emboss resist with are from the Gina K set called “Fun Year Round”.  Isn’t this stuff so pretty through a stencil?!!!

I did one of my speedy videos with this card so be sure to head to my Instagram to check that out!

Masculine Happy Birthday

I think we all agree that the cards we have least of in our stashes is masculine cards!  So with the Retro Rubber Challenge this week, I chose the bottom row across

RRCB 124

I used the stamp set “Open Sea” by Stampin Up!  It’s at least 6 years old but is still such an awesome stamp set for masculine cards!

retro masculine

I pieced all these images together to create a collage that is perfect for a guy.  The “Happy Birthday” label comes from another old Stampin’ Up! set called “Vintage Labels”.  It’s from Sale-a-bration like 10 years ago!

And that is why I have kept old sets that are favorites!

I’m glad to have another guy card in the stash!  I’ve been running extremely low!

CP designs Club Sursee!

I am so super excited to be a guest designer for the November Club Sursee by Catherine Pooler!

The products are so cute and fun and I was immediately drawn to the “Great Wings” set with these beautiful butterflies!

sursee gw2

You can see here that you’ve got the butterfly outline and then the solid stamps to fill them in.  I did a trifold card and stamped the outline on vellum so the pretty detail could be separated from the solid

sursee gw4

Isn’t that so pretty?!

For my second card with this set, I used the “Just a Dash” coverplate that comes in the Sursee for November.

sursee gw5

Doesn’t it make such a cute background?!

The butterfly is embossed on vellum with another layer of vellum underneath that is stamped with the solid image and embossed heavily with several layers of the Flirty Fuscia embossing glitter.  It coordinates so pretty with the ink!

sursee gw8

I embossed that cute sentiment as well

Sursee great wings

And a very simple card with a lot of pop is finished!

I love the products by Catherine Pooler!  And this monthly club just makes them all the more fun.  Be sure to check it out!

Yay for Friday!  Have a wonderful weekend!  I’ll have another post up on Monday with another look at November’s Club Sursee products.  There’s another super fun set to showcase!

Sparkly sparkly!

I was inspired by 2 challenges for today’s card

#1 – Try Stampin on Tuesday‘s sketch gave me the idea for the layout – where I switched that middle piece up to make it a circle

#2 – The Double Trouble Challenge blog had a really fun set of challenges up!  This is where I got my idea to go super sparkly.  The theme is “Bring on the Glitz” and that is exactly what I did!  They are also pairing up with Cupcake Inspirations with their “Use a Snowman” challenge

And my card features a very sweet little snowman!

glitz 2

And it is from the same set I used on my last card – “Little Frosties” by Hello Bluebird.  I’m still not ready to put that set away yet! 🙂  I am absolutely in love with it!

glitz

I got glitzy by using the Ranger “Snowflake Tinsel” embossing powder, glitter paper for the flagged piece, glittery dots around the snowman, and sparkly embellishments to top it off.

Loving Snowmen

I took some more time to get some coloring!

I have thinking, nonstop, of all the things I could do with this adorable Hello Bluebird “Frosty Littles” set!

Today’s card is a pretty simple card.  No sentiment is on it, but instead, speaks the message of love with those adorable little snow sweeties exchanging love

snowmen 4

I had so fun coloring a bunch of these sweet little snowmen and I have several projects I’m excited to make with them!!

I added dimension with puffy paint on the roof of the little house, stickles on the envelope that the girl is giving her guy, and more stickle dots in the sky

With the square shape and the cute frame (by Mama Elephant) this card has a fun and simple look that is ready to go make someone happy 🙂

Let more coloring begin!

First I want to thank Retro Rubber Challenge Blog for picking my Mermaid card, last week, as one of their top picks!

And now I’m excited to share my first card for the Daily Marker coloring challenge!  It goes all month and I’m going to stretch myself to participate more than I ever have because I love coloring more than I ever have!

This cute little image that I colored is from the Lawn Fawn set “Village Shops”

It’s going to be a fun one to put a gift card inside for a special birthday!

The next image I have set out to color is quite a big bigger and more intricate!  So it may not be the next card I share, but I’m looking forward to when it’s finished 🙂

Have a happy Tuesday!

We “Mermaid” to be friends

I made a card using two different challenges today.  Time Out Challenge #147

And one of my very favorite challenges – Retro Rubber Challenge!  #122 is a sketch that I used for inspiration

RRCB 122

I used this adorable Mermaid Kisses stamp set by Reverse Confetti for a dreamy loving friendship card (To go along with the Time Out theme)

mermaid card 2

And I took the Retro Rubber sketch challenge, flipped it to a horizontal card and used an oval instead of circle for that center piece

mermaid card 3

This sweet mermaid set is a few years old, but I love it and love that I could pull it out for this fun card!

Thanks so much for stopping by to see it!

No stamping Halloween!

Hello! I want to quick thank Retro Rubber Challenge blog for picking my card as their favorite last week!  I’m excited to have the opportunity to be a guest designer for them sometime in early 2020.  Watch for that!

My card today has no stamping at all on it.  Die cuts only!  I used the sketch (431) over at Try Stampin on Tuesday to create it

That tag on the bottom right  is such a cute idea and I’ve been wanting to make more tags lately.  So it was fun to do this!

tsot 431 5

I put the sentiment at the bottom of the tag, rather than the top and had fun altering the die just a little to give the sentiment just a little bit of a different look

tsot 431 4

All of the dies on my card are from Lil Inker Designs.  They have such cute products!

tsot 431 3

Aren’t the googly eyes added to the spider just the cutest detail?!  I normally don’t like Halloween anything unless it’s the cutesy stuff.  And I hate spiders!  But these dies are such a happy and cute style of Halloween, I can handle it 😉

tsot 431

And that’s my card using the sketch!  So glad I could use these dies to get a cute card done for a friend before Halloween got here :0

I do have a speed-through video of me making this card over on my Instagram!  Check that out if you love to see a card come together in less than a minute 🙂

Hugs!

500+ Instagram followers!

Hello stamping friends!  Today I have an extra fun post.  I recently hit 500 followers on Instagram and I feel grateful for this for several reasons!

1. I only started Instagram to share my love of cardmaking and see cards from people who felt the same about this hobby!  I gained so much more!  People who got excited about my cards and I found TONS of others who also love making cards!

2. Stamping friends!  I have made new friends.  And I truly believe stamping friends are the greatest kind.  So supportive, kind, and positive!  I’ve also been SUPER excited to connect with cardmakers in other countries!  How awesome that IG gives that opportunity to connect around the world with others that have the same passion.

3. I have gained countless ideas and inspiration that have boosted my creativity from those who have I have followed and who have followed me!

This is an adventure that I didn’t realize would turn out so fun.  I have stamped for 26 years.  Dipping my toe into the world of sharing and connecting my hobby to social media scared me at first!  But now, I see why it’s such a great place to be, in sharing and appreciating other’s sharing of talents, crafts and hobbies.

With all that being said, I am going to do my first giveaway!  I want to share a small token of my appreciation to those who follow and support me out there.

So here is my card for today and at the bottom of my post, or over to the right of my blog, is a link to my Instagram.  Head over there to see how you can win this card and a brand new set of the stamp set and dies that I made it with (along with a few other little bonus goodies)
