You are Loved!

I love the new sketch posted over at Freshly Made Sketches!

I immediately had a few ideas and started playing.  This is the design I ultimately went with

I used the stamps and dies from “Forever Lovely” by Stampin’ Up!

The dies on the corners of the center label added fun dimension and I added flat coordinating embellishments for some simple sparkle and interest

Thank you for visiting today!  I have lots of fun projects in the works and excited to share them here and on my Instagram.

Double Trouble Cupcake Birthday

It’s a new Double Trouble Challenge today!

dtc 59 graphic

This week’s Things invite us to do a 3-2-1 recipe, a sketch, and to partner with Retro Rubber – one of my favorite challenges!

rrcb 137

So I looked through my stash of sets that haven’t had love for a long time (that’s why I love Retro Rubber so much!)  And I grabbed “Crazy for Cupcakes” by Stampin Up!  It’s from 2009 and is so cute, it could be a set that was released yesterday!

dtc 59 1 The recipe from Thing 1 is

3 – Colors
2 – Embellishments
1 – Sentiment (stamped, clear or rubber) seasoned stamp more than 1 year old

dtc 59 3

My 3 colors are mint, yellow and pink

My 2 embellishments are sequins and a coordinating mint ribbon and my 1 sentiment is from the cupcake set and goes perfectly!

dtc 59 2

And that’s my card using all the fun invitations from Double Trouble!

dtc 59 5

Be sure to check out theDouble Trouble Challenge blog for more details so that you can play along!  And don’t forget to jump in with Retro Rubber if you use a stamp set older than a year with that sketch!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Masculine Thanks

Hello! It’s a Double Trouble Challenge Blog Monday! And this week is masculine cards

20200530_211401

We all need masculine cards more often than we have them usually! And Thing 3 wants us to add something round

Photo_1590861944871

So I die cut a bunch of circles and distressed themPhoto_1590861944083

Then I blended a bit of ink onto them, raised them all up, linked some together, and added my cute little W+9 bear from the Happy Mail set

Photo_1590861945528

It’s simple but perfect for a guy who has been so wonderful.  I think I’ll be giving it to my amazing dad 🙂

Thanks for stopping! Remember to head to Double Trouble for details on how to play and when your card is done, Thing 2 says to link it up with the “Use Your Stuff” challenge!

Good Luck!

Hello again!  I wanted to play along with the Monthly Mix Challenge over at Gina K

It’s all about making a card of encouragement and a coordinating envelope so that we’ll send it!

My card is ready to wish someone luck 🙂

I used the Gina K stamp set called “Pop Flowers”.  It’s so pretty with it’s 3 images to create 3 tones on each one

The little clear drops add some fun dimension and interest

And I did a soft and simple envelope to coordinate

Hugs from a distance

Hi!  Before I get into today’s card, I want to say thanks to CAS Colours and Sketches challenge blog for picking my cactus card for a winner in their sketch challenge!

I have a card to share for the current Hero Arts Challenge!  It’s such a perfect theme this month with the current situation

MAY-Hugs-from-a-distance-300x300

And they have another fun one going that challenges us to use the small images and/or dies in our sets!  These 2 challenges had me thinking of a card immediately!

I reached for the “Spoken Bird” stamps and die set from the February 2018 “My Monthly Hero”. I used the tiny little branch die and the tiny flower

hero arts hugs 4

They might be a die and image that normally get overlooked but they made an adorable little highlight on this tag

And where a lot of our hugs have to be distant right now, a card where we send a hug is perfect!

The heart background is from SSS and adds some extra love to the theme of sending hugs

Thanks for stopping by!  I send a hug to all my stamping friends 🙂

I used the Mama Elephant set “Mermaid Kisses” and put all these cute tiny and smiling ocean creatures around the “Smile” die, which is from Simon Says Stamp

Antique Toys – For you

There’s a new challenge over at Double Trouble Challenge Blog!

dtc 57 graphic

Thing 1 says to use kraft and Thing 3 says to make it a “kids” theme with the color red.  With those fun challenges, here is my card!

dtc 57 2

Aren’t these antique toys so cute?!  They are from a very very old stamp set by Stampin’ Up! Like 18 years old!  This set came out in 2002.  I have always loved it.

dtc 57

I used alcohol markers to color these sweet little toys and kept the layout clean and simple to highlight them

Thanks for stopping by to visit!  Be sure to visit Double Trouble to play along!

Greeting Farm Bloom

Hello!  I was so excited to win a gift card to Greeting Farm through Catherine Pooler’s hop a couple weeks ago!  I’ve never had any of their products and when I looked through them, I fell quickly in love with the cute little “Potted Plants” set! greeting farm 5

Aren’t those little potted cacti so cute?!!

My inspiration came from the sketch over at CAS Colours and sketches challenge

greeting farm 2

The cute die cut circles are from Reverse confetti and add some fun interest behind the images

And I used Zig Clean Color markers to do the coloring.  Those who follow me know how much I love those! 🙂

Honey Bee Happy Birthday!

Happy Monday everyone!  Not only is is a new week – but it is also a new challenge over at Double Trouble Challenge Blog!

dtc 56 graphic

And since Thing 2 is challenging us to pair with Joy of sets – here is their TicTacToe board

dtc 56 joy of sets

I went with the diagonal from top left down to bottom right.  It matches perfectly with Double Trouble.  So here’s my card!

dtc 56 5

I used the adorable Birds and the Bees set by Honey Bee stamps

dtc 56 3

dtc 56

Birthday card, check – Things that fly, check – Sponging? Check!  But it might be different than what you are used too with sponging!  I don’t even own sponges anymore because it’s been so many years since I used a standard sponging technique.  So I took a microbrush (used for eyelash extensions and has a tiny little sponge-type tip on it) and carefully added shading to the centers of the blossoms and throughout the beehive.  A sponging type of shading!  It’s all about getting creative with our stuff right?!  I have those on hand for glue application of tiny die cuts and I’m glad I tried them for something else

dtc 56 2

I added some sequins all around this branch and hive scene for some sparkle and shine

dtc 56 4

And my fun birthday card is finished 🙂

dtc 56 6

So glad you’d stop by to see it! Have a wonderful week and be sure to go play along with these challenges!

Much love,

Kellianne 🙂

Praying for you

Hello! I’m sliding in to play along with the April Sugarpea Designs challenge! I can’t believe it’s the end of April.

Screenshot_20200430-194257_Gmail

I flipped the sketch on its side and colored some of these pretty flowers from the Meadow Motifs stamp set

Photo_1588297646263

There’s lots of need for “praying for you” cards right now! I’ll be using this one right away

Photo_1588297646882

Photo_1588297646555

I used Zig clean color markers to color the images, added some sequins,  and with the splattered background this card was finished!

So glad you’d stop by to see it!
