Christmas in July!

Hello stamping friends! I’m so happy to be back here. Things are starting to flow a little more smoothly and I’m getting more stamping time in.

Today starts another fun new challenge over at Double Trouble! It’s Christmas in July!

Thing 1 wants to see us all pull out our Christmas goodies and get a Christmas card done!

I have this cute Feliz Navidad die that I have never used! It’s by Memory Box and I love it. It’s one die. The top part cuts the positive and the lower part cuts the negative. Very fun to cut out and see the result!

I have a lot of fabulous friends who speak Spanish and I’m working hard to learn. So I’m excited to give this one out when Christmas comes around!

The beautiful Christmas foliage images are by The Stamp Market. I embossed some of the outline images with gold to add some fancy and added lots of sequins and some shiny enamel dots to add to the fancy effect.

Thing 3 also wants to see ribbon on your Christmas card so I added some gold ribbon to coordinate with all the glimmer

I love floral arranging and decorating so when it comes to using stamps like this, I find myself having just as much fun doing it with paper!

For this challenge, we are partnering with Heart 2 Heart. They have the Christmas in July theme going on over there so it’s perfect! After you’ve created your card and shared it with us at Double Trouble, be sure to head over there and link it up with them too.

Thank you for stopping by!

I’m back!!!!!🎉

Oh how I have missed stamping. To fill in any of my following friends, my family and I made a HUGE move from Utah to Texas! We are remodeling the home we purchased so not only have we been trying to unbox and get settled, it’s been among paper, plastic, tape, tools, and all sorts of construction!

But I finally got my stamp room unpacked and organized enough to get stamping again. And let me tell you – it was pure therapy!!! Here’s a quick glimpse of my new space!

The first card I made was for Double Trouble. I love working alongside the fabulous team there and have missed it so much.

The new challenge started Monday but this post has been a bit difficult to get to work because we are in the country and internet has been scarce! Crossing fingers this attempt works🤞🙏😊

So without further ado – here’s the challenge!

We’re going with a mood board this time! I love mood boards because there’s oodles of inspiration in them! This time is “Oh baby!”

I needed a baby card! So it was great timing.

What inspiration can you pull from this cute mood board by Thing 1?

I loved the stuffed animals and soft colors

Thing 3 wants to see die cuts!

I used the patterned pieces and the matching dies to the sweet stuffed animals. These stamps and dies are from Clearly Besotted.

We are partnering with Bitten by the Bug who wants to see a baby card with die cuts or any other cutting machine cuts.

We hope you’ll join along!

Thank you for stopping by today! I’ve missed stamping so much. I hope to be on here much more very soon!

Jellyfish Happy Birthday

I have a fun one to share for our new challenge over at Double Trouble that starts today! This challenge is “Anything Goes” so grab your fun supplies and get playing along!

Thing 3 is asking to see a birthday card so I went along with that theme to create this fun Jellyfish happy birthday

This adorable stamp set comes from the new “Waves of Happiness” release over at Catherine Pooler

The stencil is also by Catherine Pooler and I used this one to give a little bit more of a “frilly” feel because I love this fancy jellyfish so much!

Isn’t this jellyfish so cute?!! All the sea creatures in this set are just absolutely adorable and I can’t wait to use them all!

I love all the greens and blues. So oceany!

Thing 2 would like you to partner with any of our previous partners. I chose to play along with the “Make the Cards” challenge which is to use these two things – a stenciled background and a die cute sentiment

There is an extra little fun thing going on with this challenge. Pick a yo you trick to theme your card after! I themed mine after the “Seasick yo yo trick”! My kids love to play with their yo yo and know some fun ones. But this particular trick seems a bit to tricky at this point!

Here’s a little attempt by my daughter

Anyway – lots of fun to be had with Double Trouble! We hope you will play along with all the fun!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

My stamping will be a bit more sporadic coming up – I’m about to make a big move out of state! But my new stamping studio will be absolutely incredible. I can’t wait to share!

Hugs

Beautiful Beginnings

Hello! I’m sharing a bright colorful card today, using the Beautiful Beginnings stamp set and dies by Catherine Pooler

I haven’t played along with the Flower Challenge for a long time! But flowers are my favorite to stamp with so I wanted to jump in. Their challenge this time around is to use your favorite flower.

I don’t know if I could pick a favorite flower! I love flowers so so much. So this set was perfect with it’s variety of flowers. And I used a variety of colors too

I used ink pads to water color them with some soft ink blending behind them

It’s hard to see in the pics but there is some embossed scroll writing behind the bouquet of flowers. That, along with the scalloped edge, and a few sequins, my card has a little extra interest.

I’ve been enjoying making cards that have no sentiment on them so that I have a quick one to grab when I’m needing one in an instant. It seems like that’s the need I have lately!

And that is my card for today! Thank you for stopping by to see it!

Wanna Hang Out?

Happy Monday and happy new Double Trouble challenge! We’ve got a fun one for the girls this week

I’ve got 4 daughters and we are girlie girls! So the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the request for “a girly girl theme” from Thing 1 – the first thing that came to mind was how much my daughters love clothes! So I did this card with these 2 cute dresses

I was inspired by the challenge over at Inspired By. The colors on their graphic gave me the idea for the colors I’d use

I used an older set by Simon Says Stamp called “I like your style” and with the request by Thing 3, I made sure to really add the embellishments! And what could be better to describe girls than diamonds and pearls?!

And of course the dresses needed to be sparkly! Wink of Stella on that job

We’re partnering with Stinkin Inkers for this challenge and their theme is “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!” so if you play along with us, be sure to go share there as well!

Grab your girlie images and look through all those fun embellishments you’ve been accumulating – it’s time to make a fun card to play along! Remember to head over to Double Trouble for details and for the link to enter.

Have a happy week!

Wishing you buckets of Happiness!

Happy May and Happy Monday!!! I love both!

It’s time to get creative with how you make the folds of your card this time around with Double Trouble

I chose to do a gate fold. I haven’t done one in forever!

Thing 3 wants to see frogs! These 2 cute frogs in this wishing well set by Your Next Stamp are just perfect!

I used an old impression plate to make subtle flowers on the white of the card. I wanted to go along with the current YNS challenge which is “Burst of Color”. So I kept everything white and this center circle has this cute wishing well as the burst!

The circle lifts to open the card. I attached it on the left side with only some mono glue that had dried. Makes it pop open easy without tearing

I added sequins and glitter to give some sparkle

And my card was finished! Thing 2 said that you can go enter at Crafting Happiness if you used a frog so head on over there to share if you did 🙂

And before I go – I am such a big fan of stamping challenges, I want to share a new one with you! And if you did something with a fun fold, you can head there to share your card with that challenge too! It’s the Creative Creases challenge by the Secret Stamper

Have an amazing week!

Spring gnomes

I am crazy about the new “Club Sursee” by Catherine Pooler this month! I’ve been seeing gnomes everywhere and at first, I wasn’t sure how I felt about them. But lately, I’ve been falling in love with them! So to my delight, there were gnomes in the Sursee stamp set this month!

Aren’t they adorable?!

That cute grass border die came in the Sursee as well and it’s going to come in handy for lots of cards!

The sentiment is inside and says “Spring Greetings” and will be perfect to give to a friend at this gorgeous Spring time of year!

Thanks for stopping by to see it!

I hope you are having a happy week!

Home Sweet Home color challenge

Hello! Today Double Trouble Challenge Blog is out with a new challenge and it’s to use these colors

These colors were tricky for me! But I came up with a simple one layer card that will be sweet for someone with a new home

Thing 1 wants to see flowers on our cards – so I put a fun little bouquet in the corner of this home image

And of course a little sprinkling of sequins around the flowers! I love sequins so much, I can hardly make a card without them!

The stamps and dies I used on my card are from Simon Says Stamp except the flowers, which are from Reverse Confetti

We’re partnering with Make the Card challenge this time around, so be sure to head over there to submit your card too! If you played with the requirements for Thing 1 and Thing 3, you automatically qualify to enter their challenge too 🙂 Head to Double Trouble for all the details!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful week 🙂

Thanks – You’re the Best!

Hi friends! I’m back to share another cute card using the “Free as a Bird” set by Jane’s Doodles

This cute little dancing bird is just so cute!!

I colored the little guy with Zig Clean Color markers and placed him on this “Thanks” die by Reverse Confetti that I cut and layered 3 times

These perfectly coordinating sequins are also from Jane’s Doodles as well and go so cute with the pattern paper I used

I haven’t done a square card in a long time and I quite love how it turned out! I might need to make some more that are this shape and size

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Happy “Bird-day!”

Hi everyone! I’m excited to be sharing a card that features some adorable stamps from Jane’s Doodles!

I was inspired by the new challenge over at Color Throwdown

This adorable set is called “Free as a Bird” and has the cutest bird images with some sweet sentiments to coordinate

I loved this cute “Bird-day” play on words!

I colored these happy birds with my Zig Clean Color brush pens

That cute background die is by Reverse Confetti. And the stitched square is by Pink and Main. I softly ink blended a slight indication of grass and sky to go behind the little birds. Then with a sprinkling of my favorite embellishment – sequins – this card was finished!

Thank you for visiting today! I noticed that Jane’s Doodles is even having a sale right now. Head on over there and pick this set up at a discount to add to your stash! But hurry because her sale ends Sunday.

Have a wonderful weekend!
