Today is all about you

Father’s Dayv is coming up and Double Trouble has a great challenge to help you get a card done for it!

Here’s the “My Guy” recipe and where the ingredients fit on my card

3 – washi tape and/or paper scraps — the two strips of pattern paper down the side, as well as the gray piece that my center rectangle is mounted on, are from a pile of scraps I had from a specific paper pad.  They worked great together!

2 – die cut elements — my panel is die cut and the center rectangle is die cut.  The buffalo is as well

1- Masculine project — this is my guy’s card for Father’s Day!

Thing 3 says to include an element that shows how your guy likes to spend time.  I did a buffalo as the main focal point because my hubby loves wildlife!  We used to live where we could go see buffalo and get were so neat

This buffalo is from a Close to my Heart set

That’s my card for today!  We hope you will head to Double Trouble and play along with your masculine card!

  1. I love the buffalo, he is so realistic and in his way, beautiful too. Its a great card and your plaid paper is just right.

  2. My son loves Buffalo and I got this stamp set to make a card for him, and guess what I haven’t used it yet. His birthday is March but I may pull out that stamp now and create a card for next year… then all I have to do is remember I made it last year. That CAS layout is perfect and very handsome card… I may just use your layout because I like it so much and I know my son would like it too, he like CAS.

  3. How unique, Kellianne. I love seeing the buffalo as your focal point and as a way to acknowledge a love of wildlife. When Bob and I lived in Overland Park, Kansas, we saw many buffalo herds as we traveled I-70 to visit family in Denver, CO. Great card!

  4. What a wonderful masculine card – your hubby will love it. We saw buffalo in the wild for the first (& only!) time while we were driving to the Grand Canyon, Bryce & Zion. They are pretty neat! But they didn’t like us getting too close to their fence. lol
