Cardinal at the window

I’m back with another card using the Lovely Layers Winter Birds dies by Honeybee.

I absolutely love looking out my bedroom window where the cardinals come to enjoy some bird seed! They are such pretty birds. I love how these dies have all the details of them in the layers

I blended each layer with different shades of red for dimension and depth. My idea for design came from the mood board at the Four Seasons challenge. I love the bird, the snow, the branches and snowflakes!

In addition to the Winter Birds dies, I also used the Seasonal Frame and Layering Snowflakes, and Winter Greenery dies – all by Honeybee Stamps. And all new to me for my birthday last month!!

I got lots of new goodies for my birthday that I am excited to use. But when I saw the challenge at Time Out with the prompt of “New” – I knew I wanted to use these new dies first to play along

I love the way that all these different die sets coordinate so well to bring this pretty card together! The blending in the background is Iced Spruce and Stormy Sky. I love the soft wintery look it gives

Thank you for stopping by to see my sweet cardinal in the window card!

See y’all again soon!

Hello There

I am so excited that I got to play with some birthday goodies I got a month ago! I am so in love with this die set called Lovely Layers Winter Birds

I was inspired by the color challenge at TGIF for my design

I love the gold, silver, and black combo with this sweet bird

At Simon Says Stamp, the Monday challenge is “A new start” using Brutus Monroe products. So I pulled out my embossing powders for that. And this is a very January- weather-type card to start this new year!

I love this set so much, I have another beautiful card to share tomorrow that I made for a couple other challenges! Be sure to come back and visit to see that one too.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful week!

Happy New Year!!

I hope that this year is full of lots of stamping!! I feel like my 2023 had very minimal stamping time for me. But it was a full year of many things with my big family and I’ve loved it.

Let’s get right back to a fun challenge with Double Trouble!

Thing 1 wants to see the background personalities. Will it be bold and bright? Or calm and soft? I chose calm and soft

I used Catherine Pooler stamps and dies for my card. I love this background die!

Thing 3 wants to see you use the sketch from Try a Sketch on Tuesday

I adapted the sketch a little bit. I made the back piece sit as a square orientation instead of diamond. And I made the top piece more long, rather than square. I also moved the sentiment up onto the shapes. I love shifting a sketch up to fit a design!

We would love for you to play along with us! Head to Double Trouble for more details and to link up your card.

Have a wonderful first day of 2024!!

Snowflake or flower?

Hello stamping friends! I love this gorgeous stamp set from Close to my Heart. And the large main image is so pretty! So what would you say? Is it a Snowflake or a flower?

We’ll call it a Snowflake flower ❄️ is made from stamping and embossing the image in white on vellum. I then colored it from behind.

This card is for the new challenge up at Double Trouble

Thing 1 wants to see dies! I used lots on my card. The Snowflake flower is fussy cut, but everything else is dies – the arches, the background pattern, the edges, and the center snowflakes

Thing 3 is saying “wrap it up!” Let’s see bows, ribbons, twine, washi, etc. I used pretty silver ribbon to top my panel

Thing 2 has us partnering with the Use Your Stuff “wrap it up” challenge. So, if you use Thing 3’s twist, be sure to share over there too

Thanks for stopping by today! Can’t wait to see all the creations in the gallery!

Country thanks

Hello! I saw this color challenge over at Color Dare and loved how natural the colors were

I’ve been loving the Country Road die collection by Spellbinders and immediately thought of it for my card idea

It was so easy to use all those beautiful earthy colors in the challenge palette!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hang in there

Hi everyone! I’m so excited that it’s Thanksgiving week! Let’s start it off with a new challenge at Double Trouble

Thing 1 wants to see stitching

I used lots of stitching dies! The background plate and the cross stitch border dies are by Kat Scrappiness. The stitched edge circle and rectangle is by Simon Says Stamp

I thought it would be fun, with the stitching theme, to also use a clothing item. So I used this cute dress and sentiment from Simon Says Stamp

Thing 3 says to use the Tuesday Morning sketch

This sketch looked like a mini slim size to me, so that inspired the size and design. I flipped it to be vertical, and made the centerpiece a circle. I the long piece down the side is my ribbon, the short piece is my sentiment. Was fun to play with this and be creative with the sketch pieces

Pull out all your stitching products and play along! If you use that sketch too, be sure to link up with Tuesday Morning!

Happy stamping😊

Sending love

I had to jump in on this fun challenge with Coffee Lover’s one more time before it’s over!

What a super fun challenge to take part in! I don’t drink coffee, but we are big fans of hot cocoa, so it’s fun to make cute cards to stick on some cocoa packets to give to a friend. Today’s card is just that!

I used the cute Gift Card To Go die by Catherine Pooler for that main piece. The background is her Petal Connection cover plate adds good detail!

I was inspired to add holly because of this other fun challenge over at Caffeinated Christmas and I love it!

I used the cute holly from the Stocking Stuffers set, also by CP

I love how there’s a direct focus on this challenge. I’m seeing so many mugs and cute cups in my stamps and dies now! Not all of them got a turn this time. But it’s been so fun playing along!

Get well soon

Another hot cocoa card is ready to send for get well wishes! The Coffee Lover’s challenge is so fun because it’s prizes are based on participation and not just comments. So I love to support it!

This one uses the same set as I used for my card a couple of days ago – Catherine Pooler’s Pumpkin Season

I was inspired by the sketch over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge for my layout

I’ve been seeing a bit of pink added to fall cards lately and I’ve loved it! So I did the same thing with this and it’s kind of a fun, alternate look for Fall

Thanks for stopping by today! I have another one ready for tomorrow so I hope to see you here again❤️

Cornucopia thanks

Hello! It’s feeling like Fall and it’s so beautiful! Double Trouble has a new challenge up to get another Autumn card done

This one is asking for some fun twists! Let’s start with Thing 1. She’d like to see a 3-2-1 recipe to a happy harvest! That’s 3 pattern papers, 2 embellishments, and 1 Thanksgiving image

Thing 3 wants us to use the TSOT sketch

So with all those things in mind, I used this cute cornucopia image by Catherine Pooler and made my Thanksgiving card

The 3 pattern papers take me a long time to figure out because I always want it to coordinate well. I think these 3 papers came together well with the image all colored up

If you made a card that also used that sketch, be sure to share it with both Double Trouble and TSOT!

Thanks for stopping by today and we can’t wait to see your creation in the gallery!

I love Fall!

Hi everyone! Today starts a fun bonus challenge that Double Trouble is participating in. It’s the Coffee Lovers blog hop

To play along, Thing 1 says to make a card that has a coffee, tea, or hot cocoa theme

Thing 3 would like to see a random pun related to your warm drink, but I don’t have one of those! So a simple “I love fall” will have to do

My color inspiration came from The Card Concept

I love those pretty, regal tones!

I used stamps and dies from Catherine Pooler for this one. The set is called Pumpkin Season. It’s got the cutest fall drink cups in it, and I have another card in the works with it for this fun challenge!

As mentioned before, Thing 2 has us partnering with the fabulous Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop! So be sure to link your card there too

Last, but not least – something extra fun – blog candy! Double Trouble will be picking from the comments on their main blog post to hand out some of this fun blog candy. I will be donating a 4 x 6 stamp set toward the prizes! So be sure to leave a comment there for your chance.

Happy warm drink stamping!

🙂 Kellianne
