Pink & Main

I’ve had my eye on the adorable products by Pink & Main for awhile and they had such an amazing sale last week that I couldn’t resist getting a little haul from them!  Want to see something so cute?!!  Look at how their dies are PINK!  I’ve got a lot of product and never have I seen colored dies!  I love it! 🙂

I spent a little time having fun coloring the sweet images in this Snow Globe set.  After all, it is the last day of the 30 day coloring challenge by Kathy Racoosin and I wanted to take part one last time.

And it was time to add a couple of these to a card.  I was inspired by a “Card a Long” theme over at Stamp Nation.  It was “Alternative Color Scheme” for Christmas.  Lot’s of bright pretty colors that aren’t the traditional Christmas colors.  Pink stood out the most and  I’ve never used pink on a Christmas card so it was time to give it a go and came up with this square shaker card.

Less is More #385

Less is more 2

Today is a super clean and simple card!  I love switching my stamping up to do a good CAS!  I’m playing along with the Less is More challenge which is to make a one layer Holiday card.

This cute little Santa holding a Christmas list is so cute!  It’s a new one by Stampin’ Up! and I just couldn’t resist it!

Less is more

As I play along, I also want to wish Sarah well!  She will be leaving Less is More and while I don’t know her, she is obviously very loved.

And so I will also be playing along with this a few times so that I can enter for a spot on the Less is More design team!  I think it would be a blast to keep up the CAS stamping on a regular basis and take the fun challenges over there.

Have a wonderful day!!

25 Tags of Christmas – Day 1 Inspiration

Today’s tag was inspired by Carol Mayne’s tag on Day 1 of The 25 Tags of Christmas.

25 days of tags logo

I loved her craft cardstock stamped with the bold red Merry Christmas on it!  So cute!

Here is what I came up with from the inspiration her tag gave me.

I used the Fa la la stamp set by Simon Says Stamp and I then had that song in my head the rest of the day! 🙂  But hey, I’m okay with it now that Thanksgiving is over!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We’re taking it waaaay back in time today!!  I have been loving a ton of new  products lately and I may or may not have just purchased too much for Black Friday… (the deals are soooo good!)  So I have also been making an effort to look at the old stuff I have.  I have gotten rid of a lot over the years, but I kept things I really liked and thought I might use again.  This Hero Arts Thanksgiving feast stamp is one of them!  It is from 1994!  I will never get rid of it because it is one of the very first stamps I ever bought myself when I came across this amazing hobby.

So I used it for my “coloring therapy” – which is part of Kathy Racoosin’s idea!  Color everyday.  It feels good.

I love her 30 day coloring challenge, but I’ve always only observed.  Never shared my coloring efforts.  So before it’s over, I’m jumping in with this very simple project, using a very old stamp.

Have a very wonderful Thanksgiving everyone!!  I hope it’s a wonderful one!

One of my favorite quotes is “Gratitude turns what we have into enough”.  Isn’t that a great one?  Perhaps it doesn’t work with stamps though… ha ha!

Much love!

Color Throwdown Tag

I am in love with the color challenge over at Color Throwdown right now!  Look how cute these colors are for Christmas!

So I was up for making something fun.  I wanted to also take part in the 25 Tags of Christmas for Day 18 yesterday.  And right there at the top was the beautiful tag by Kay Miller, using these types of colors!!  Double inspiration.

The company for the day was Neat and Tangled and I absolutely love this tree set by them that came in my Holiday Magic Stamp of Approval!  I got to work playing with the colors and the set.  Here is my tag!

My silver element came in with the tiny little ornaments in between the red and turquoise and then the start at the top as well.

I wanted to take it a step further and show how fun and easy and cute it is to turn a tag into a card!

I just love this wonky tree and the baubles that create the ornaments!!  The sentiment is also Neat and Tangled and I love it.

I might have to make more Christmas cards with this super fun color combo!!  Thanks for the inspiration, Color Throwdown!

Have a happy day 🙂

Christmas tag with non-Christmas set!

I have been enjoying following along with the 25 Tags of Christmas!  It’s been a busy time in life and I wasn’t sure I was going to get to play along.  But I’m excited to be making time for stamping again and it’s Day 17 – so I’ve still got time to play!  I’ve been so inspired each day as I look at all the tags that so many talented stampers have created.

A few days ago, I saw a post somewhere (and I feel bad I can’t remember where!) that talked about making a Christmas card out of a stamp set that wasn’t even Christmas themed.  I wanted to make that a challenge for myself.  Since I don’t have a Christmas set by Avery Elle, and that is the sponsor for day 17, I grabbed my “Petals and Stems” set by AE and created a Christmas tag with it!  Here it is

Avery Elle Christmas 4Those stems and leaves and berries totally look like Christmas when stamped in the red and green!  I was inspired by the tag by Kim Heggins today.  I liked how the snowflakes hung off the sides of the tag – so I did that with the stems and berries.  I also loved the glitter paper on the bottom, so I added some to the top.  I also included bakers twine.

The sentiment is from the Fa la la stamp set by Simon Says stamp and I also added a few clear sequins (but you can hardly see those!)

I hope to play along some more!  Maybe even everyday for this last week of the event. Avery Elle Christmas 5

Concord and 9th Honorable Mention!

I’m just so excited that my Autumn wreath card from a couple of posts ago was chosen as one of the “Honorable Mentions” for that contest!

Thank you Concord and 9th!!

I love playing with their products and while I’m here, I’ll post a quick picture of the last cards I made.  A few days ago, I pulled out my “Dipped cards and envelopes” by Concord and 9th and made them into very fast and simple birthday cards that I know I’ll be glad I have on hand!

simple happy birthday

I added the Happy Birthday die cut from Stampin’ Up along with a little coordinating sequins

And just like that, I have matching cards and envelopes on hand for the next birthday.  Now I have no excuses for not getting a card in the mail for the next four birthdays in my life ha ha!

Have a great day!

World Card Making Day Lawn Fawn

How fabulous is it that there is a day named after my favorite hobby ever?!!  Happy World Card Making Day to all my fellow cardmakers out there – both the ones I know and the ones I don’t.  🙂

The current Lawn Fawnatics challenge boosted my mojo to get stamping in a Fall theme.

Lawn Fawnatics awesome autumn

This is my first Autumn card of the year and it was super fun to make using Lawn Fawn’s “Sweater Weather” stamps and die cuts.

And with that, I think I feel the pressure to pull my Fall décor out!  I always wait until it actually feels like Fall and for the past couple days the air is extra crisp.  Definitely time!  This little Fall card was a fun place to start 😉

Cardmaking love to you for stopping by!

Sending Love

Hello!  It’s a new week and I have a goal of sending at least 3 cards before the weekend!  This one is heading to a new friend in California, whose son is heading to the same mission that my son is in, in South Korea.  I love all the different ways we can connect as friends throughout the world.

I created this one for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.  And this week they are featuring Hero Arts.  I pulled out my Hero Arts Layering Bouquet set to make this simple card for my new friend.

ssswednesday challenge

The centers of the flowers are Nuvo drops.  I’m starting to get really into those!  They are quick, fun and add a simple little raised element to any card.

And with that – I’m off to a great start to a cardmaking week!

I hope you all have a wonderful one too!
