2 sketches, 1 challenge

Hello everyone! Happy Monday and happy November!

Today starts a new challenge over at Double Trouble Challenge Blog and it’s a fun one. We are teaming up with Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenges for their sketch this week as well as next and both sketches are fabulous

Here is their first sketch – #393

Thing 1 wants everyone to “stitch it up”! So I used lots of stitched die cuts

Thing 3 wants us to use a funny image or sentiment. I realized I really don’t have any funny sentiments or images. But I liked this silly pun with the cactus

The sketch for next week by Atlantic is another great one

I went with a Winter theme on this one and I love the clean and simple look

I used stamps and dies from the latest Catherine Pooler Club Sursee

I love this sketch and will be using it for a lot of different cards coming up. This is also a favorite color combo I found last Christmas during a Stamp Nation challenge. So pretty!

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you will swing by Double Trouble and Atlantic Hearts to play along in your cardmaking.

See you again soon!

Clean and Simple Autumn

I’m here today to share a very clean and simple card to play along with this adorable sketch going on at Case This Sketch!

Of course the first thing I saw in my mind, was Christmas ornaments. So I challenged myself to think outside the box and here is what I came up with – leaves!

I added a few little dots of gold stickles to give some interest around those cute tiny leaves (which are from the September Club Sursee by Catherine Pooler – so is the sentiment)

I hope that wherever you live, you are seeing tons of Autumn colors that are as breathtaking as they are here 🙂

Thanks for stopping by to see this simple little card that is ready to send with love!

Big hugs

Happy Halloween Shaker

Hello everyone! It’s a happy Monday and as well as a new challenge over at Double Trouble Challenge Blog!

Thing 1 gives you a list of colors, choose 3 of those and play along to make a Halloween card!

I chose green, orange, and purple. I also made it into a shaker, dressing it up (without using a bat!) for Thing 3’s challenge!

Those cute little images are from an old Paper Pumpkin by Stampin’ Up! The frame die is by Catherine Pooler and the words are from a die by Lil’ Inker Designs.

Thing 2 gives us a double dare to go partner up with The Paper Girls Halloween challenge. So after sharing your card with us at Double Trouble, be sure to go link it up with them too!

Thank you for stopping by to check my card out. I hope you all have a fabulous and happy week!

Honeybee Treat Shop

I’m sharing a super sweet card today! Taking a break from Fall and Christmas card making to make this fun and happy card

Doesn’t it have the sweetest Summer vibe?! I was a little sad to be done with Summer this year. I really loved it. But we can keep Summer going on cards all year round!

I added lots of dimension with all the fun elements to go along with the current HoneyBee stamps challenge “Dimension”

Image may contain: 1 person, text

Lots of raised images and that cute little scalloped “awning” makes it feel like this little bistro set is right out front of an actual treat shop

Glitter goes perfectly with the feel of this scene

Makes me want to be sitting right there with a friend to enjoy a sweet treat!

Thanks for stopping by to see my card today! If you head to my Instagram, I have one of my quickie videos posted of this coming together 🙂

Inky hugs!

Hello Fall – Retro Guest

Hi everyone! I’m excited to be the Guest Designer over at one of my favorite challenges – Retro Rubber Challenge Blog! This one is a Tic-Tac-Toe and those are really fun

I chose the bottom line across – using dots and sequins, pattern paper, and embossing

I used the stamp and dies from the “Sweater Weather” stamp set by Lawn Fawn. It’s from 2014 and is as cute as ever!

All the fun elements of pattern paper, leaves, and Fall colors are so fun!

The sentiment and tree trunk/branches are where my embossing is

The panel is mounted up on the card base for some good dimension and this card is finished!

Thank you so much for stopping by to see it! Be sure to go play along with Retro Rubber! It is always so fun to pull out stamps that don’t get as much love as our newer stuff.

Hugs!

Hay there!

Today starts another challenge over at Double Trouble Challenge Blog!

Everyone is loving the slimline cards these days! So it’s extra fun that the Double Trouble Challenge is asking you to try one out

I was also inspired by the Fusion card challenge “Old McDonald”

And that’s why I pulled out my cute little Hello Bluebird “Farmyard Little Bits” stamps and dies

Aren’t those little critters so cute?! Thing 3 wants to see you use images with a “tail” and Thing 2 wants you to partner with a previous partner. With Thing 3’s challenge, choosing 2 Crafty Critter Crazies to partner up with was perfect! These little cows and pigs are just beyond adorable

This awesome slimline die is by Catherine Pooler and will be so versatile for many slimline cards to come! I love the details around each circle

So pull out your critter stamps, a long slimline card, and show us your creations over at Double Trouble! Can’t wait to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by to see my card!

Hugs 🙂

Thinking of you – Autumn envelope

Hi everyone! I’m back to a Fall project. I might be all Fall for the next little bit! For this card, I played along with the Paper Craft Crew Challenge

I love the simple layout and I was in the mood to do a clean and simple card. So with some Stampin’ Up! pattern paper and some new Stamp Market supplies in hand, I made this simple card

An envelope stuffed with some sweet little Autumn elements – so fun!

The little hemp cord looped up behind the rectangle gives some added interest and I probably wouldn’t have thought of it and that is one of the many reasons I love challenges! Thinking outside the box starts

And another good “thinking of you” is ready when I need it.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope your week started off great and is heading to even greater 🙂

Hugs!

Wishing you a joyful Christmas

Happy Monday everyone!! There’s a fun new challenge over at Double Trouble!

Thing 2 wants to team up with Try Stampin’ on Tuesday by using their sketch

Thing 1 and Thing 3 want us to do “on, off, or over the edge”. If you head to the blog, there are some great video links of this technique being done. It was the first time I have ever done it!

If you look closely, you can see that the holly at the top hangs over the folded edge. Here is the inside of the card that gives you a better glimpse

I used products from the new release over at Catherine Pooler and I am in love with them! These 2 colors are brand new to her ink line as well! I had to make these 3 ornaments sparkly

Now that I’ve done this technique, I think I’ll try it in several different ways in the future!

I did record a video of this coming together if you want to see a quick blip of that – head on over to my Instagram!

Thanks for stopping by today. I’ll be back this week with a couple more projects I’m excited about.

Hugs!

Hello!

Hi everyone! Happy weekend! I’ve got a Fall card for you today and it is my entry to the Global Design Project sketch challenge that inspired me

I loved the idea of the 3 vertical rectangles with the horizontal sentiment strip over the top. As I got going with it, the rectangles in the back become the more subtle part and the sentiment strip became the bold

I grabbed some Autumn colored Stampin’ Up! pattern paper to give more interest to the layers

That big “hello” die is from Catherine Pooler and the leaves are as well

I carefully painted each leaf with a Wink of Stella glimmer pen and then slowly traced over it with the Stampin’ Up! fine tip glue pen. I stamped an envelope to coordinate with my card

And this is ready to send!

Thanks for stopping by to visit! Have a fabulous weekend 🙂

Autumn Happy Birthday

I need more birthday cards! So for the next several posts – you just might see them. I was inspired by this cute image over at The Card Concept

And Gina K’s Monthly Mix Challenge is to create an Autumn card. So with that, I got to creating

These beautiful stamps and dies are from the Gina K “Free to Flourish” set

The things that inspired me on The Card Concept inspiration image was the colors, the black and white stripes, and the chalkboard

Aren’t Autumn colors just so pretty?! I love the black and white added in

I used alcohol markers to color these images

And with a coordinating Gina K envelope – this card is ready to give!

Thank you for stopping by to see my card!

Big hugs
