Slimline Lovely

Happy Friday everyone!  I’m sharing a slimline card today!  I’m really having fun playing with this slimline design and exploring all the great ways to incorporate inspiration from a regular A2 size card into a slimline.

I was inspired by this pretty card over at Global Design Project challenge blog.  The inspiration I took from it was the soft colors, floral, and stripes.  Here’s my take!

I incorporated the striped by using a background die by PinkFresh Studio.  And isn’t this floral pretty?!  It’s the collaboration set by Gina K and Hero Arts

I added Wink of Stella to the blossoms to give them a pretty glimmer

The current Flower Challenge is to do Summer or Winter floral

These beautiful flowers definitely fit into the Summer floral!  So bright and full

For the coloring, I used watercolor pencils and also a couple of ink pads to add darker shading.  Lots of coloring going on with the 30 day coloring challenge!  It always gets me to pull out different mediums to color with

Thanks for stopping by to see my card!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Clean and Simple Turtles

I’m here today playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge as well as the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge!

Simon said to use Pink and Main Products, so I pulled out these cute turtles to make a fun, yet clean and simple card

As you can see, I flipped the sketch to be horizontal

sss pink and main 3

And the diagonal piece across the sketch, I turned into water.  I used the Pink and Main “Turtley Amazing” stamp set as well as their cute scalloped frame dies for some interest around the border

For my coloring, I used watercolor pencils.  It was fun!  I haven’t pulled those out in forever!

If you head to my Instagram, I did do a quickie video as I made this card

Thanks for stopping by today!

All the images are watercolored as my way of coloring for the Daily Marker 30 day coloring challenge.  I did the watercoloring with Zig Clean Color markers.

And those sweet little pearls are added for some interest to go along with the Double Trouble partner – Cupcake Inspirations

Hello!  Today I played along with theTime Out Challenges

To go along with the theme, I chose to do a vintage style card

time out su 2

All the stamps and dies are by Stampin’ Up!

time out su 3

The optional twist at Time Out is Embellishments!  So I used some pearls, some twine, and a couple of fancy clip pieces under the two corners

I colored these pretty flowers using alcohol markers.  There’s going to be lots of coloring for the next bit – Kathy Racoosin has another Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring challenge going on!

Mandala Therapy!

Have you ever drawn a mandala?  Or watched somebody draw a mandala?  It’s super therapeutic!

Well, it turns out that it’s also therapeutic to STAMP a mandala too!  I used the Gina K mandala maker stamps to create this beautyGina K mandala

It took a bit of time but was totally worth it!

Gina k mandala 2

I added Nuvo drops to lots of the details in the mandala and I love the stunning look they added!

gina k mandala 4

Isn’t the gray and soft blue so cool for this design?

This was a fun one!  I might have to do a little Instagram video of another one coming together!  Perhaps that’ll be in the future 🙂

Thanks for stopping by to see this one!

Vintage Americana Thank You

Hello!  First off, I wanted to thank Retro Rubber Challenge Blog for choosing my cupcake card as one of the top picks from their last challenge!

I love playing along with them and it’s so fun to see they liked my card 🙂

Today starts a new Double Trouble Challenge!  Challenge #60 is “Anything Goes!” so be sure to head on over there and share what you have done

dtc 60 graphic

I love that Thing 3 is giving us the optional twist of “Red White and Blue”.  It’s the perfect time of year for that!

dtc 60 4

I did the vintage hue of red, white, and blue to give it an “Americana” feel.  Thing 2 wants everyone to pair up with any previous Double Trouble Challenge partner.  I chose Try Stampin’ on Tuesday because I absolutely loved the sketch!

Another partner –  Crafting Happiness also has an “anything goes” challenge

This awesome set with dies is the “Patriotic Service” by Simon Says Stamp

dtc 60

I’ll be giving it to my niece’s husband.  He is in the Marines and they are so awesome through all the ups and downs that can take place while serving in the military!  So grateful for everyone who serves

dtc 60 2

Thank you for stopping by!  This card has me in the mood to celebrate the 4th.  Going to be a little bit different this year!  But we’ll think of something to make it still feel festive.

Happy Monday!

You are Loved!

I love the new sketch posted over at Freshly Made Sketches!

I immediately had a few ideas and started playing.  This is the design I ultimately went with

freshly made 440 2

I used the stamps and dies from “Forever Lovely” by Stampin’ Up!

The dies on the corners of the center label added fun dimension and I added flat coordinating embellishments for some simple sparkle and interest

Thank you for visiting today!  I have lots of fun projects in the works and excited to share them here and on my Instagram.

Double Trouble Cupcake Birthday

It’s a new Double Trouble Challenge today!

dtc 59 graphic

This week’s Things invite us to do a 3-2-1 recipe, a sketch, and to partner with Retro Rubber – one of my favorite challenges!

rrcb 137

So I looked through my stash of sets that haven’t had love for a long time (that’s why I love Retro Rubber so much!)  And I grabbed “Crazy for Cupcakes” by Stampin Up!  It’s from 2009 and is so cute, it could be a set that was released yesterday!

dtc 59 1 The recipe from Thing 1 is

3 – Colors
2 – Embellishments
1 – Sentiment (stamped, clear or rubber) seasoned stamp more than 1 year old

dtc 59 3

My 3 colors are mint, yellow and pink

My 2 embellishments are sequins and a coordinating mint ribbon and my 1 sentiment is from the cupcake set and goes perfectly!

dtc 59 2

And that’s my card using all the fun invitations from Double Trouble!

dtc 59 5

Be sure to check out theDouble Trouble Challenge blog for more details so that you can play along!  And don’t forget to jump in with Retro Rubber if you use a stamp set older than a year with that sketch!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Masculine Thanks

Hello! It’s a Double Trouble Challenge Blog Monday! And this week is masculine cards

20200530_211401

We all need masculine cards more often than we have them usually! And Thing 3 wants us to add something round

Photo_1590861944871

So I die cut a bunch of circles and distressed themPhoto_1590861944083

Then I blended a bit of ink onto them, raised them all up, linked some together, and added my cute little W+9 bear from the Happy Mail set

Photo_1590861945528

It’s simple but perfect for a guy who has been so wonderful.  I think I’ll be giving it to my amazing dad 🙂

Thanks for stopping! Remember to head to Double Trouble for details on how to play and when your card is done, Thing 2 says to link it up with the “Use Your Stuff” challenge!

🙂 Kellianne

Good Luck!

Hello again!  I wanted to play along with the Monthly Mix Challenge over at Gina K

It’s all about making a card of encouragement and a coordinating envelope so that we’ll send it!

My card is ready to wish someone luck 🙂

I used the Gina K stamp set called “Pop Flowers”.  It’s so pretty with it’s 3 images to create 3 tones on each one

The little clear drops add some fun dimension and interest
