I’ve been very busy with some fun things coming up! Lot’s of Autumn and Christmas stamping in the works. But today I needed to just sit down and create a bright happy “Hello!” card. I’m always needing these kinds of cards.
I used the adorable “Oversized Hello” stamp set by Waffle Flower Crafts. And those cute little branches and stems on the left – those are from their “Sprigs” die set. I love these dies so much for foliage and interest
Some Nuvo drops dotted in all the sprigs gives some fun coordinating embellishment. I absolutely love these stamps and dies and it was so fun to pull them out again!
Thank you for stopping by for my quick and simple post of this card. I hope your week is off to a fabulous start!
I cannot believe it’s November! We’re starting it off with a Double Trouble challenge that has us pulling out our slimline products, which I love doing!
Thing 1 will be happy to see our tall cards using a die. Now Thing 3 wants to give us an extra little twist… use something that starts with a “T”. I chose Tools
We did a HUGE remodel on the home that we bought here in Texas. The guy who oversaw it did so much work and we have been so very happy with all that he did. He really did nail it! He just finished a few days ago so I made this card that we’ll add a gift card in for a giant thanks! This was also a personal challenge because I just do not make very many masculine cards
This set is from MFT stamps and right now they have a challenge going to make a slimline shaker.
So as I was already making a slimline card, I decided to take on the extra challenge of making it a shaker. Of course I didn’t add very much sequins because, as a masculine card, it didn’t need to have the regular glitz that a feminine card would!
Thing 2 always likes to team up with a partner and this time around it is with Ellibelle’s Corner. If you used a die on your card, be sure to link your card over there too!
As always, all the details for all these fun twists are over on the Double Trouble blog.
The Flower Challenge is one of my favorite challenges because flowers are my favorite images to create with! I love all florals, foliage, leaves, etc. So I love looking at what they challenge each time and letting it stir some ideas and creativity for a card. They just turned 5 and I want to say Happy Birthday Flower Challenge! They are having a fun “party” to celebrate and I’m excited to play along with the fun! For this challenge, they say to use a shape
I am obsessed with my new haul from Kat Scrappiness of a bunch of mini slimline products!! So for my cards today, the shape I went with is rectangle. I made 2 different cards with the same general layout and floral image. First is this softer peach and gray
The pretty corner floral is from Gina K Designs. I colored it with colored pencils. I haven’t pulled those out in forever and decided it would be fun to use them again. It was! But I’m spoiled with the ease of blending with markers. These took a lot longer! I do think it was worth the time though
Those fabulous peachy enamel dots are also from Kat Scrappiness and are just so delicious added to a card!! I’m going to have to order more in more colors! The adorable “bestie” die is from Catherine Pooler
You can also see below the card and coordinating mini slim envelope. That’s a fun die set from Kat Scrappiness that, once assembles, fits your mini slimline card perfectly! I just used some pattern paper that matched my card. Was nice to use some up!
Next I’ve got a similar card but using brighter colors
That “thank you” sentiment is also by Gina K and there’s some more of those yummy KS enamel dots!
Isn’t that cross stitch border so cute around the edge? Love that die set!
And there are my fun floral corner cards to celebrate the Flower challenge blog’s birthday! Which one do you like best? Softer colors or brighter colors? I think I like the softer one best. I’m a sucker for soft colors. I actually struggle to do bright cards! But that’s why I take challenges and try new things out.
Happy Monday everyone!! It’s an EXTRA happy one for me!! My daughter who is out serving a mission has hit her half way mark!! That means that she’s been out 9 months and has 9 to go. Considering I didn’t think I could make it 3 days without her cute self bouncing around the house – I’m extra happy to know we’re halfway there! She is loving teaching people about Jesus and sharing His love so she’s excited she still has 9 more months to enjoy that. And of course Mondays are great cuz that is the day I get to talk to her!
And OF COURSE I love when it’s time to play with Double Trouble! Oh how I love that there are different challenges to mix together with a project and another challenge blog to support with it. It’s just awesome and here’s this week’s!
We’re being all full of Halloween fun with this one. But we’re not talking scary – Thing 1 wants to see the cute stuff! So I picked some cute little images from an old Paper Pumpkin stamp set
I wanted to do a clean and simple card because I’m actually not much of a Halloween buff! The sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches was the perfect layout for my idea
Thing 3 wants to see washi tape! I actually quit purchasing washi a long time ago because I didn’t use it enough. But I think every crafter has at least a bit of that hanging around! This soft gray one with polka dots was perfect to match the smoky feel I wanted to give to the base of my card
I did a cute mix of sequins from Kat Scrappiness and Catherine Pooler add some cute interest to each little image
Those cute circle die cuts are from a Reverse Confetti die set
We are joining up with another great challenge blog for this Halloween fun that we are doing! It’s Cupcake Inspirations and their prompt to get creativity started is always so cute – cupcakes! Look how cute this one is
So pull out for fun Halloween stamps and get cute with us! Be sure to share in our link up over at Double Trouble (where you can also find any other details you might want) and then to Cupcake Inspirations. We can’t wait to see what you create! Thanks for stopping by to see my creation today
We made it to the middle of the week! And I’ve gotten some good stamping in and it’s made me so happy. I was inspired by 2 mood boards.
Simon Says Stamp has this one up on their Monday challenge this week
With those pretty leaves and the distressed wood and overall Fall feel, I took some slimline products out and started creating
I was also very inspired by the challenge over at The Card Concept! The colors were perfect for my idea
I created a set of 4 as I went along so that I could send them out to some special stamping friends
I don’t do the Mixed Media type of style as often as other styles, so it was really fun to make a card like this again, with all the textures and dimension!
The main image and it’s coordinating dies are from a set called “Grateful for Everything” by Concord and 9th. This stamp is just so pretty for Autumn time and so much fun to color! I used Zig Clean Color markers this time around
The leaves don’t change quite as fast here in Texas as they do in Utah so it’s still mostly green! But I am starting to see a hint of these beautiful colors here and there and I love it! And I’ll keep bringing them out in cards until it’s time for Winter cards!
So with 2 different and amazing inspirations, this card was finished.
Thanks so much for stopping by to visit and see my card today! Hope to see you again soon!
Happy Monday! We’ve got a Fun Fall challenge starting today over at Double Trouble Challenge Blog and we’d love to see what you come up with the share in the link up
Thing 1 would like to see some Fall Garland inspiration. I have a gorgeous Fall garland I put up on my fireplace every year but I have not pulled it out yet! I haven’t pulled out any Fall decor. I guess I can’t believe it’s here! But here’s a little garland on my card for this challenge.
I used an old Stampin’ Up! set on this one (I’m having fun digging through my old stash of cute sets!) called “Autumn Harvest”
I distressed some pattern paper as a background for some interest and all these Fall garland elements are colored using alcohol markers
Thing 3 wants to see you “Carve a Pumpkin” so grab those sets with Jack-o-lantern faces and get “carving” 😉
For this challenge, we are partnering up with Use Your Stuff! They are running an Autumn challenge so take your card over to their link-up as well.
And now it’s time for me to get the Fall boxes out and make my house feel like it’s the beautiful harvest time of year that it is! Thanks for stopping by today and I’ll see you again soon.
Happy Sunday and Happy October! I’m starting the week of with some stamping. I have been trying to work hard in my new farm life and find balance with it all. But one thing is for sure – I’m NOT balanced when I’m not stamping ha ha!!
So I jumped into one of my favorite challenges to get the mojo flowing. Retro Rubber Challenge Blog! If you follow me here on my blog or Instagram, you know I love to alternate between using new goodies and dipping into my old stash. I love to give old stamps love! So here is their current challenge
I chose to do the bottom row across
I used a VERY old set called “Upsy Daisy” by Stampin’ Up! I wanted to refresh it with some new style. I did some ink blending and splattering over an embossed image of those cute daisy silhouettes. I believe this set is from 2009. Wow! 12 years old and a darling card can still come from it!
My color scheme was inspired by the challenge over at TGIF challenges
Such a pretty color palette!
I used an envelope die set, also by Stampin’ Up! to create the cute little envelope out of the newsprint pattern paper. I searched and searched to find the name of it, but couldn’t find it! Wish I would have labeled it back when I got it years ago.
Added a little ink blending and some ribbon, along with some hand lettering to give the envelope a nice touch.
And something that flies – the cute little butterfly with a pearl accent!
It’s always fun to pull out sets and give them a refresher. I don’t even remember the last time I used this set. But when I did a giant de-stash, I felt it was cute enough to keep! I made a little video of this card coming together. You can catch it on my Instagram!
Thank you for stopping by today! I’ll have another card up here tomorrow for the fun Double Trouble challenge that begins first thing in the morning. See you then!
Hi everyone! Happy Monday! There’s a new challenge at Double Trouble
It’s one that everyone loves – Something, Anything, Everything! So you can grab your goodies and get crafting to your heart’s content. We want to see what you are working on!
Thing 3 wants to see a Fall Harvest item and it’s the time of year when we are pulling out those supplies. Here’s my card today doing just that!
I was inspired by the color palette that The Card Concept challenged everyone to use
Thing 2 wants to give a Double Dare. Partner up with any of our previous partners! You can find them on the Double Trouble Challenge Blog website. I chose Crafting Happiness. Their current challenge is “Pumpkin Spice”.
And it’s obvious this little drink to-go is something pumpkin spice! Yum!
I’ve been wanting to pull this Damask Flowers set out that I got in my Club Sursee a couple months back. This challenge seemed like the perfect opportunity to use it
With the challenge to use turquoise, I pulled out several different shades to bring this together
I love the way these flowers turned out in these colors!
A few simple sequins and a simple sentiment add just the right touch as to not take away from the Damask and dots!
Thank you for stopping by. I’ve been trying to build my card stash back up! It’s gotten depleted. So I’ll see you back here real soon with the next card 🙂
Sweet little pandas are in to start a new challenge with Double Trouble!
Here’s the fun challenges for this round
I chose to make a Hinge Fold card to go along with Thing 1
I used tiny little magnets for the fold flap to stick down good
Thing 3 wants to see Play Doh colors! Of course those are classic and bright and I thought these playful pandas went well with the bright happy feel that Play Doh always has!
These adorable little Mama Elephant playful pandas went well with the bright happy feel that Play Doh always has!
This time we are partnering with “Creative creases” so be sure to head over there with your fun creation too! And for all the details for this round, you can always head over to Double Trouble. Can’t wait to see what you enter!
