Swimming by to say hi!

A new week and a new challenge is up over at Double trouble! This time we want to see GREEN!

Thing one has said to use primarily green. I chose to use the greens that have a blue tint in them because those are my favorite greens!

And of course those green tones make me think of the ocean! I love this Catherine Pooler set and haven’t used it in awhile so it was time to pull it out for this one

Thing 3 wants to see everyone use some plaid or checkers. This is something I rarely do! Not because I don’t like it, but because it rarely seems to go well with whatever project I try it on. However, the little strip of plaid paper seemed to go well behind my little turtle scene for this card

We have partnered up with Heart2Heart for this challenge so if you make green the focus of your card, you are eligible to enter your card over there too!

Even though it’s the time of year to make a St Patrick’s card, I have noticed that I rarely ever use cards with that theme! So with all the green, I made a card that still fits and I will definitely be able to use! What products do you have that will go great with a green theme? Make one and be sure to share it with us at Double Trouble!

Thanks for swinging by!

Happy Day

Do you have a list in your mind of top favorites when it comes to your stamps and dies? I do! One of them is the Hero Arts Monthly Hero kit from a few years ago and I must pull it out at least once a year! It’s been at least that, so I pulled it out to play along with the current Hero Arts Challenge

I just absolutely love this little flower shop store front

Another great reason to play with my Hero Arts goodies is because they are also the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge company highlight

I haven’t made a shaker card in forever and that window just had to be one so out came some mini sequins to add this fun detail!

If you follow me on Instagram and here on my blog, you know that I’m a big fan of pulling from the older stash to keep past stamps and dies being used. This one was extra fun for me!

Thanks so much for stopping by to see my card today. I hope you are finding time for stamping too!

Hang in There

Hi friends! Have you played along with the February Stock your Stash challenge over at Reverse Confetti?

I’m always needing encouragement cards, so I went with that theme for my card

I absolutely love this Poppies set! I stamped and die cut 2 of the clusters and added them to that cute Confetti Cut – Inside Scallop Circle Tag

That tag would have been perfect to fill with shaker bits and make this a shaker card, but I decided to leave it a bit more simple, being that it is a “hang in there” card. I will definitely be making it into a shaker in the near future though!

With some ribbon tied to the top, I adhered this piece to the Outlined Frame Cover Panel. I just LOVE what darling detail this Confetti Cut gives to the background of any card!

With some coordinating enamel dots added, my card was finished and I have another encouragement card! I will be using it right away!

Pull out your Reverse Confetti goodies and play along for your chance to win some $ to spend in the shop!

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a wonderful weekend!

Gate Fold Happy Birthday

Happy Monday everyone! Today starts a new challenge over at Double Trouble and we want to see some Spring and some fun folds!

I have never been much for all the awesome and creative folds there are out there with cards. It is usually something that frustrates me. So with this challenge, I usually just pick something that’s a bit different but still pretty traditional. For today’s card I went with the gate fold

I added interest by dry embossing little panels to go on each side of the “gates”

My Spring floral comes from a Papertrey Ink set and the sentiment is from a Gina K set. The pretty coordinating ribbon is a delicate touch to keep the gate folds closed and simply has to be untied for the recipient to look in the card and read a message

Gives a fun and different feel than a normal opening card. I don’t think to ever do it though so I love when this challenge comes up to make me fold a card differently in my designing process

Even though crazy folds are not my favorite thing to do in cardmaking, I sure love seeing what everyone else does with them!

So let’s see what fun folds you have in your cardmaking talents and grab some Spring themed stamps sets to create your card! And if you play with the twist of a fun fold, don’t forget to enter it into our challenge partner’s gallery too! This month it is Creative Creases

Head to Double Trouble to see more details, ideas, and to link up your creation!

You’re always in my heart

Hi again today everyone! So many fun things going on in the stamping world, I can scarcely keep up!

Have you seen the new challenge up over at Double Trouble?

Thing 1 is calling this a sweet color challenge and wants to see you pic 3 of the colors in graphic number 1. All those gumdrops are happy colors so it was very easy to decide! I picked the pink, orange and minty colors

I did the watercolor resist over this fun heart made of flowers by Catherine Pooler

Which brings us to the next thing. Thing 3 wants to see a heart or hearts! I used this cute big heart but also used a sentiment that says heart in it too

Thing 2 has us partnering with Inspiration Station who has the challenge “I heart you” going on right now. So if you take Thing 3’s challenge of including a heart, go add it to the Inspiration Station as well! We love our challenge partners

Thank you for stopping by and we hope you will play along with these fun twists by Double Trouble!

My card today features the Stitched Daisy Confetti Cut cover panel and the darling Love Bugs stamp set with coordinating dies

I used colors that would make this a fun Valentine or else it could even be just a card to send with love to anyone

I also used the Large Detailed Circle frame as the piece to put my cute butterfly focal point on. I love that Confetti Cut!

A clean and simple card with sweet details to give it great interest because of the cute Reverse Confetti products

Follow along this inspiration hop to see some more awesome projects from these fabulous designers! Thanks for stopping by to see mine today.

We go together

Today’s card goes along with 2 different challenges that caught my eye this week. We’ve got Color Hues asking for cards made with red and black

I created a little salt and pepper shaker that are a cute little couple

I’ve had this Lawn Fawn set for a long time and haven’t pulled it out in forever! But I was inspired to because of the 2nd challenge cue that I saw by Retro Rubber Challenge Blog

It’s been awhile since I played along with Retro Rubber but they are one of my favorites! So it was time to jump in again and pull out an old set.

The dry embossing on the vertical banner is also an oldie but a goodie in my embossing folder stash. So happy to pull these things back out and give them use!

And a fun little Valentine is finished! Thanks for stopping by to see it!

You are so special to me

It’s time for an “Anything Goes” challenge over at Double Trouble! This is always a favorite!

Thing 2 and 3 have some fun twists to put out there to try on your card. Thing 3 wants to see anything but an A2 regular card. There are so many fun options with this! Shaped card, slimline, A7 large card, note care, etc.

I chose to do a slimline cuz I’m just crazy about them

Thing 2 always has a double dare! This time around it is to partner up with another challenge blog that we’ve partnered with before. I chose Try Stampin on Tuesday which is one I like to jump in on every now and then!

I LOVE challenges so when I see these kind that say to use one or the other or both – I choose both!!

I used shades of pink for my monochromatic color and the flowers are positioned in the spots that the ovals show on the sketch

I used stamps and dies by Simon Says Stamp as well as PinkFresh Studio.

I wish you could see the beautiful Wink of Stella pen that I added to the flowers and the hearts die. It glimmers so pretty! The lighting just didn’t catch it though. The recipient will love it though!

Head over to the Double Trouble Challenge blog to see more details about joining along for this challenge, as well as the linky to add your creation! We just love to see what you create with the twists given

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope your week has started out fabulous!

For my beautiful daughter

I haven’t played with the Gina K monthly challenge in a long time. Well I needed a card for my sweet daughter who just hit her one year mark on her mission! So I pulled out this beautiful seashell set by Gina K and got crafty

The challenge this month is to do the technique where you splatter water on ink and it reacts. It makes a really cool splashed-on look!

I stamped and embossed the seashells (and seaweed) all in white. Then I colored on the back sides of them with copics.

I carefully put precision glue along the embossed lines of the seashells to adhere them to the blended and splattered background

With a few embellishments, my card was complete. My daughter is going to love it! I’m excited to mail it off to her. It’s headed down to Uruguay!

Thanks for stopping by to check it out. See you again soon!

Love is in the air!

Have you got some of the goodies from the new Reverse Confetti release? They are so darling and perfect for not just your Valentine cards – but so much more! Today’s card is one I made for their current Stock Your Stash challenge

I used the new Hello Daisy bouquet to make a sweet Springtime card

I colored the bouquet with Copics

I then mounted it on to the Postal frame Confetti Cut

The “love you always” is from the Valentine’s Sentiments stamp set. With this all put on to a soft green card, my sweet Spring card is all done

Pull out your Reverse Confetti supplies and play along with the challenge this month for your chance to win $20 to the Reverse Confetti store!
