Hey everyone! Check out the new challenge over at Double Trouble!

We’re making unique backgrounds for this one! Create a background using one of these techniques: dry embossing, stenciling, stamping or inked. No patterned paper unless you make it yourself!

So for my card, I stenciled the background of the main panel and on the center banner strip, I stamped images and flicked ink

Thing 3 would like to see you use this sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge

I switched it up just a little to make the center vertical piece a banner with the fishing hooks on them to go along with the fishing theme of my card. I didn’t use a sentiment because I liked how it looked better without it. But this one went to my sweet hubby for Father’s Day

Time to pull out the masculine stamps and create! There’s a new challenge up at Double Trouble and Thing 1 wants to see cards for guys!

I never have enough masculine cards so it’s always good to jump in on these kinds of challenges!

I grabbed an old Stampin Up! Set and used just 2 colors for my card

Thing 3 is adding the twist to have stripes or plaid on your card. I chose this dotted stripes pattern paper that has been in my stash forever! Went perfect for the style of my card

Thing 2 says to partner up with Try Stampin on Tuesday by using their sketch to create your card!

It’s the perfect time to make a card for that special dad in your life with Father’s day coming up. And we can’t wait to see what you share with us!

Happy Summer! School is out and I’m so looking forward to getting to stamp more. A new challenge at Double Trouble is the perfect way to kick it off!

Thing 1 says Anything Goes! I chose a Summery theme with cute little ocean creatures

Thing 3 wants to see repeats. Use one image over and over or use companion images in your sets! I chose to do 3 ocean creatures

These are by Catherine Pooler and are just so cute! I colored them with Zig Clean Color markers and put them on ac piece of vellum. The background is ombre colored using Distress Inks

I added water droplets to give an extra oceany feel, as well as sparkly sequins in blue to add to the underwater fun

Thing 2 wants you to partner up with a previous challenge partner! I chose Color Dare. They are saying to use shades of green, blue, and purple. These were perfect for what I was going for! I usually don’t reach for purple so it was extra fun to challenge myself for this

I left the card without a sentiment on purpose. This is so it can be used any time for anything! I seem to need those a lot lately so I’m planning on making more!

A new challenge is up over at Double Trouble!

This time, it’s time to get “krafty”! Thing 1 is telling us to pull out some of that kraft paper to make your card!

And Thing 3 wants to see dots or stripes. I chose to go with diagonal stripes

My slimline card is made with stamps and dies by PinkFresh Studio. I just love the sweet strawberries!

Our challenge partner this time around is Crafter’s Cafe. So, Thing 2 says that if you included dots or stripes, be sure to share you card over there too!

Hi everyone! Challenge 109 with Double Trouble has started and here’s the run down of what fun twists the Things have for us

It’s all kind of a fantasy land feel! Thing 1 says to use Rainbow colors or predominately pink. I did both. Pink Dragon here with us for this card!

Thing 3 wants to see a fantasy or make believe item. Castles and dragons for the win with that! My images come from My Favorite Things

The rainbow pattern paper that my panel is mounted on adds to the fantasy feel and the sequins give some good sparkle that completes it

Our challenge partner is “Colorful Options”. If you chose to add a rainbow or predominately pink, go there and share with their challenge too!

Today I am sharing a card that is made with mostly die cuts!

This is for the new challenge up over at Double Trouble

Thing 1 wants to see you use at least one metal die

I used lots of metal dies on my card! At least 4

All the dies are by Spellbinders. The one stamp, “thinking of you” is from a Catherine Pooler set

Thing 3 wants to see flowers and/or butterflies. I chose butterflies because I find myself ALWAYS wanting to to floral cards so I wanted to stretch my creativity toward the butterflies

Happy Monday! Today starts a fun new challenge over at Double Trouble!

Thing 1 says to create a scene. Thing 3 says to include a bunny. Easy enough!

I used stamps and dies by My Favorite Things to create my little bunny scene. With Distress Ink blending and Zig clean color markers, all the colors came together for my sweet little scene

Our partner for this challenge is Cupcake Inspirations. Their challenges are so cute because they use darling cupcakes to give you an idea to start with for a card! This time it is bunnies. So Thing 2 says that if you create a scene using a bunny, go add it to Cupcake Inspirations too!

It’s a great time to pull out the bunny stamps. With Easter and Spring here, there’s lots of reasons to make some cute cards with them! We can’t wait to see what you add to our gallery. Head to Double Trouble for more details and to play along!

And on a fun bunny note – we have baby bunnies arriving in only about 20 more days! It’s getting exciting on the farm!

Today starts a new challenge over at Double Trouble and this time around, we are going clean and simple!

Not only are we going clean and simple, Thing 3 is saying to use only 1 color!

I used an older stamp set from my Stampin’ Up! stash to make my simple, one color card.

I love a good clean card! I don’t tend to make them much lately because I get caught up having fun with adding all the goodies possible to a card.

I also made another card while I had these stamps and papers out. This one adds one more color. Still pretty clean and simple but with one more color and a bit more interest

It’s really fun to use the same couple of stamp sets while they are already out and just switch it up a bit! Makes me feel good that I’m getting better use of my supplies as well

It was a good boost to make these couple of simple cards. I wanted to take it one more step and use the same 2 stamp sets to make yet another card

This one has a third color – some pink. I also added some splatters, ribbon, dimension, and layers

You don’t have to any step ups on your card for this challenge! I did it for fun. It’s awesome how you can take the same supplies and do different styles of cards!

I have had my eyes on this “Cozy Wishes” stamp set by Simon Says Stamp for a few months and I was so excited to finally get it! It was just as fun to play with as I imagined it would be and here’s my first card with it

The colors I used were inspired by the colors of the current Color Throwdown Challenge

I absolutely love the birdhouses and mailbox with all the leafy foliage! You can kind of see how I added some sparkly Sprectrum Noir pen to the little berries for some fun shimmer

The layout I used was inspired by the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches

I made my background pieces a bit more opposite on the placement. The top one is the shorter one. I dry embossed those pieces for some added interest.

I’m so happy I bought this set and know I will be using it to make lots of beautiful cards! Thanks so much for stopping by to see this one today!

A new week and a new challenge is up over at Double trouble! This time we want to see GREEN!

Thing one has said to use primarily green. I chose to use the greens that have a blue tint in them because those are my favorite greens!

And of course those green tones make me think of the ocean! I love this Catherine Pooler set and haven’t used it in awhile so it was time to pull it out for this one

Thing 3 wants to see everyone use some plaid or checkers. This is something I rarely do! Not because I don’t like it, but because it rarely seems to go well with whatever project I try it on. However, the little strip of plaid paper seemed to go well behind my little turtle scene for this card

We have partnered up with Heart2Heart for this challenge so if you make green the focus of your card, you are eligible to enter your card over there too!

Even though it’s the time of year to make a St Patrick’s card, I have noticed that I rarely ever use cards with that theme! So with all the green, I made a card that still fits and I will definitely be able to use! What products do you have that will go great with a green theme?
