Happy Birthday sweet thing

Hello and happy Sunday! Today’s card is to play along with Color Throwdown. I loved the color combo for this one, so I couldn’t wait to create!

Pink, green, and magenta = so pretty!!

All stamps and dies for this one are by PinkFresh Studio and I love them so much!!

I gold embossed the images and then Copic colored

After die cutting with the amazing one-piece die, I had so fun arranging all this beautiful floral and foliage

Thanks for stopping by to check out this fun and lovely slimline card! I’ll be back tomorrow with a new challenge for Double Trouble

I love Summer!

I really do. But it has been SO HOT here!!!!! The new challenge over at Double Trouble has a few fun ideas that will make perfect summer cards

Thing 1 says anything goes! Thing 3 gives some fun options. I went with “beverage”

This cute row of summer drinks is just so yummy looking! It’s from a set by Close to my Heart.

Thing 2 says to partner up with any of the past partners of Double Trouble. I chose 2 different ones. Color Dare gave me my color inspiration. I used their entire grid of colors for my card!

And I got my sketch inspiration from Try Stampin On Tuesday

I just flipped it to be a horizontal layout rather than vertical

Which drink would you pick? Me? Probably the lemon water lol! I’m not one for much beyond water for my drinks. But my husband loves all the fun and flavorful ones. Horchata would be his top choice but I don’t think this card offers that one lol

Go check out the list of previous Double Trouble partners here and find a fun challenge you could play along with using Thing 3’s ABC options!

Thanks for stopping by to see my card today and I look forward to seeing yours in the gallery!

Just a hello

Another “hello” card today at my blog. I love these kind because you can use them for almost anything!

This one is for the new challenge up today at Double Trouble

Thing 1 wants to see pattern paper – at least 2 different ones

Thing 3 wants to see you use this sketch from Try Stampin On Tuesday

I thought it was a great sketch for creating a clean and simple card

I love this little succulent stamp set from Greeting Farm. The frame and sentiment are from a Mama Elephant set

I think I’m going to make a little card set doing this same design with some different colors and varying succulents

Thing 2 invites everyone who used this sketch to go link up with TSOT!

Can’t wait to see the projects in the gallery. Thanks for stopping to see mine!

Just saying hello

My favorite kind of cards to make is one with florals and foliage! I recently discovered a new challenge that is all about flowers – The Beautiful Blossoms challenge. Their current inspiration board is so bright and summery!

I was immediately inspired by the colors and textures

I used dies and a 3D embossing folder by Spellbinders for my bright “hello” card

With the embossing folder, I did the technique where you put ink on one side of it and then run your panel through. Turns out so neat with 3D folders especially!

I textured and shaded the flowers, added a few embellishments, and my card was complete

I usually have a harder time with bright colors so it was fun to step outside the box for this challenge!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Swimming by to say hi!

Happy Monday! I have a fun little circle card today that I made using inspiration from 2 different challenges

First, I loved the challenge at All Sorts – which was “Anything but a square.” That’s where I got the idea to make a circle card. It’s been a long time since I’ve done a shape card! That’s why I love card challenges. They get me thinking past my normal design mode.

Next. I loved the Tic Tac Toe board over at the Papercraft Crew challenge!

I went with the top row across. I watercolored this cute octopus and then pulled out these old rhinestone brads from Stampin Up! Something fun I tried was smashing them in my Big Shot after removing the prongs. Then, I adhered them using hot glue. It worked pretty well! I just wanted them more flat than they were as normal brads

Of course I wanted to add a little something to the inside to go along with my ocean theme. So I added some little fish from this same stamp set, which is from Catherine Pooler

And my card was finished! This fits in a standard A2 envelope and definitely has me wanting to make more cards like this to switch things up!

Thanks for stopping by to see my creation for today!

Oh Sweet Summer

Hello! It is blazing hot where I live in Texas! And it seems that there are many places experiencing the same thing. So for today’s card, I’m playing along in a summer mood board challenge

I used stamps and dies from Catherine Pooler. These cute summer images were perfect to go along with all the cute beachy pics that caught my eye

The Four Seasons Challenge has this fun summer inspo board. Theirs had some fun options for different summer activities. Of course it was the top left corner that caught my eye – Beach!!

If we can’t be at the beach in this heat, we best be taking a dip in the pool or being inside where it’s cool 😉

Thanks for stopping by to see my card! This one is for a friend at Stamp Nation

Have a Lovely Day

Hello! I’m excited today to be a guest designer for one of my favorite challenges – Retro Rubber. This challenge makes us look through our stashes and use older stamps that still need love!

The theme this time around is Anything Goes

I reached for an old favorite by Stampin’ Up! called Forever Lovely, along with the coordinating dies. I believe that bundle is at least 4 years old but I still love it!

I just love the beautiful die cut that lays over the stamped image. So pretty!

Some soft ink blending, a sentiment, and a few sequins finished up my card

What old stamps can you pull out to play along at Retro Rubber?

Thanks for stopping by!

Clean and Simple flowers

Today’s card is to play along with The Flower Challenge, which is “clean and simple”

I love a good ornate and embellished card, but to sometimes simplify everything and make a CAS card feels so good!

My little branch is from a Spellbinders die set and the little flowers are from a Stampin Up! punch

I always love a tag on cards and it’s a great way to have a nice focal point without being too much on a simple card

With a few sparkles to give interest, and a bow to top the tag – my clean and simple card was finished

Thanks for stopping by to check it out! Hope you are stamping through this Summer!

Merry Christmas bears

Happy Friday! And happy new challenge at Double Trouble

Thing 1 wants to see more Christmas in July! And Thing 3 is giving a fun twist – include a Santa Hat!

I made this fun card that has 3 little envelopes on it. Tucked inside are 3 cute little Christmas bears!

And each of them have on a different Santa hat

I used products my MFT stamps for my card today

Thing 2 has us teaming up with Jingle Belles challenge. So if you made a Christmas card that includes a Santa hat, be sure to link your card there too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas in July!

It’s that time of year! And Double Trouble is playing along

Thing 1 wants to see Christmas projects! It’s a great time to get them started so that you have a stash by December

Thing 3 has a fun little twist to use on your card – add stars and/or stripes!

I used both. The stars are all glittery and on the postal box and I used a striped background die (mft) as my panel. This next pic shows all the sparkle on my card!

These darling dies are by Spellbinders and were so fun! I loved filling the mailbox full of Christmas foliage

Thing 2 has us teaming up with Jingle Belles Must Be Christmas challenge – which is “Stars and Stripes”

We hope to see lots of Christmas cards in the gallery! Go through your stash and start giving those Christmas sets some love.

Thanks for stopping by today!
