Chocolate chip cookies

Happy Monday! Here’s the new challenge for Double Trouble

The new recipe and how I used it is

3 – ROY G BIV colors-  I used pink, blue and yellow

2 pattern papers- my papers for today’s project are from Echo Park

1- embossed element – my main white panel is embossed with a beautiful floral 3D embossing folder by Spellbinders

Thing 3 says to include your favorite snack

Chocolate chips cookies, made with milk chocolate chips, is my ultimate favorite!  It’s not necessarily what I would call a snack per se… it’s more like my favorite treat. But since I don’t have stamps of my favorite snack, which would probably be crackers and cheese- well cookies it is! 🍪

Thing 2 says to play along with the TSOT sketch challenge. It starts tomorrow so this is just a sneak peek! My card layout was inspired by it

I did a no sentiment card with this one.  I’m going to save it for when I make cookies for someone for whatever might be going on.  Could be a thank you or a thinking of you or get well💕

Thank you for stopping by today!

Mixed Media Thank You

Happy Valentines Day! 💕❤️💕

My last card was clean and simple so today I swung the creativity all the way over to the other side and did mixed media!

I was inspired by the challenge over at Simon Says Stamp that says to do “Spritz and Splatter”. Always a perfect thing to add to a mixed media card and I added lots!

These beautiful papers and elements by Simple Stories really does all the talking.  It’s from the 6×8 paper pad called “Simple Vintage Junk Drawer”

The sentiment is a Spellbinders die cut. I love this different size.  It’s kind of a wide slimline size

I’ve had my eye on the Mix It Up Challenge Blog because they feature mixed media a lot. And it’s a technique (or techniques!) that I enjoy playing with every now and then. I appreciated their prompt to “add ribbon” on their current challenge because it was just the final touch my card needed. Once I added the ribbon, it felt finished!

Thank you for stopping by to visit today!  I hope your day is full of love! See you next week with more projects💕

Clean and Simple Roses

Hello!  Happy Monday and Happy February!💕 Time for a new challenge at Double Trouble

Thing 1 gives us this recipe

3 layers 2 images (sentiment doesn’t count) and 1 clean and simple technique

Thing 3 wants to see you use a color for the clean and open space.  I chose kraft for a natural feel.  I was inspired by the colors and swirls at Sunday Stamps challenge

I used some Catherine Pooler products from my stash – Hello Fabulous stamps and dies as well as the Cheers to You sentiments and dies

I added gloss to the roses for some interest.  The layout and design is inspired by the sketch by TSOT that Thing 2 is giving a double dare to try

(This is a sneak peek. This challenge with TSOT starts tomorrow) I love the clean and simple idea it gives!

Thanks for stopping by today!
